Refugio Astrolabio provides you with a unique architectural experience and a very central location on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores.

We believe that the space where you stay on a holiday trip can be more than just a standard BnB and that experiencing the architecture that you live in can become a big part of your traveling impressions.

We want our guests to feel at home from the very first moment and a short tour of the house, explaining how it works.

Villa "Astrolabio Refugio" is a modern 90 square meter house with a bedroom, living room with a fully equipped kitchen (coffee machine, dish washer, induction hob), private hot tub and outdoor places for BBQ and sunbathing. Air conditioning is a part of our standard equipment.

The modern architecture of the house organically combines with furniture from Indonesia, made according to host sketches. .
The garden landscape is also host's work. It completes the architectural composition and consists not only of endemic plants, but also of plants from South America, Australia and New Zealand.

The villa is equipped with high-speed fiber optic cable Internet at 200 Mbps and satellite TV.

The advantage of our house, compared to living at the same price in the hotel rooms, is three times the large living area with its own hot tub, a tropical garden with a green lawn and barbecue, a fully equipped kitchen, parking for cars next to the front door and unique singing of Azores birds in the morning.

The location of the property is central, between craters of Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo. It is an ideal starting point for hiking, cycling, walking through picturesque villages, surfing at Santa Barbara Beach or play a golf at the Batalha Golf Course.

Our house is suitable not only for guests who want to stay 3-4 days, but also for those who want to live for a month or two in seclusion in nature, but close to public infrastructure. For such guests we offer discounts of up to 50%. Please request a long-term price list from us.
