This place is stunning in its cleanliness, location, and amenities. The view never gets old and the sloth/monkey pictures are not props to lure you in - we were visited by monkeys every day we stayed there. The property is really convenient to stores and restaurants. Two caveats: 1) it's not very close to the beach; getting there is a pretty hardy 15-minute walk downhill and coming back is a true chore. If you have a 4-wheel drive you can drive down there and park but don't try that in a sedan. 2) Confirm your rental arrangement with Lorenzo before committing. This house came up as a full house rental, which implies that we would have exclusive access to the pool that featured prominently in our decision to rent (we had four boisterous kids with us). Upon arrival Lorenzo informed me that the "other tenants" were staying downstairs (we had the uppermost three levels of a 5-level property) and they "hardly ever" used the pool and that we should be quiet if we were out there after 8pm. These aren't big deals when you expect them but when the property comes up in the "whole house" filter, you don't expect to have to tiptoe around other folks. We did need to share the pool with them - again, not a huge issue - but it was a small point of contention that caused some stress for us and the other renters. Just ask about this before committing; you'll love the place.
Laurent's place was incredible. Very spacious and the pool was absolutely out favorite part. Laurent went above and beyond- finding us tours and arranging them (all of which were excellent), being a perfect host always available if needed and even bringing us a bottle of champagne! I would recommend Laurent's place to everyone it truly was a magical place to stay!
Truly amazing location; stunning view. Close to many restaurants -- Cafe Giraldo is highly recommended -- and for a more local feel, it's just a five minute drive into Quepos. The property itself is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely pool. And monkeys! They came by a few times and were extremely entertaining. Both Laurent and his on-site caretaker Hector were extremely friendly and responsive. But really...that view. Incredible to wake up to every morning; we never got tired of it.
My family and I are so grateful we stayed at the Manuel Antonio villa! The villa is spacious, the views are out of this world, the location is perfect, and Laurent is incredibly helpful. There are restaurants and shops surrounding the villa, making it convenient for tourists (the coffee at Emilio's next door is amazing, and the villa is also surrounded by trees and lovely flowers, making it an oasis in paradise. Our family took advantage of the hammocks, the private pool, the al fresco dining table, the daily laundry service, and the beauty of the place. It is less than a 10 minute drive to the beach and you can even walk on a trail there (great for active family members). We all loved this place- no complaints other than we wished we could've stayed longer :) but we'll be back for sure!!
My friends and I had a great time in Manuel Antonio/Quepos and I have to say that being able to stay in such a great Villa with amazing, beautiful views played a large part in the success of our trip. First off, Lorenzo/Laurent was very helpful from the very first email that I sent him. I had never used AirBnB before, so I was pretty reluctant to try it. However, Lorenzo promptly replied to each and every one of my concerns. He was extremely helpful with his advice and seemed very genuine. Once I made the decision to book the Villa, he was able to set up transportation from the airport to the Villa at a lower rate than anything else I had found on my own. Once at the Villa, Lorenzo welcomed us with a fresh fruit basket. He was very friendly and gave us a tour of the place. The pictures on here of the Villa and the view do not do it justice. We were all very impressed. Compared to Hotels with similar views, Lorenzo's villa was several hundred dollars cheaper. The housekeeper was very nice and took extra care with our clothing when doing the laundry. The house was kept nice and clean and she also provided us with very helpful advice on how to reach certain places and how to use the public bus. Lorenzo himself was also helpful with offering advice on where to go and what to do. Although we did not have him book any tours for us, he would have been more and willing to do so had we asked him. He was also very non-intrusive and friendly/polite. His recommendations on where to eat were spot on. It was super nice of him to gift us a bottle of champagne for us on our last night there. The location of the Villa is in an excellent area. It is pretty much at a halfway point between the National Park, the Beaches and the town of Quepos. Easily reached via public bus or taxi in a matter of minutes. Many great restaurants within walking distance. I think that the only issues we had were trying to figure out the air conditioners in the bedrooms, but once we got the hang of them, the rooms would be nice and cold at night. The Wi-Fi was also a little slow. This was an issue for me because I had to log on for school and school assignments, but Lorenzo troubleshooted it when we told him about connectivity problems which made it better. Overall, I think the Wi-Fi around the town is just slow in general. Aside from a few homework assignments, we were not there to be on the internet anyway! The water in the showers was also a little difficult to get to a comfortable temperature (too hot or too cold), but this really had no effect on our overall opinion of the Villa nor our trip. We had a blast!!
Villa Manuel Antonio is a fabulous place. Extremely well designed and impeccably maintained. The owner is an engaging man who.takes great pride in having it in perfect shape. The location is terrific because it has a world class view, the basic things one needs are in walking distance and the beaches, national park , etc. are all minutes away. When we couldn't figure something out or a light bulb needed changing, Laurent, the maintenance man and the maid were all available and on it in a flash. Laurent was also happy to give advice about restaurants, beaches and other activities and to help arrange things when asked, with much graciousness. The pool and gardens are lovely. My wife, daughter and I felt that we were about as lucky as one can get in choosing this place.
You couldn't ask for a better view or location in Manuel Antonio! The home was lovely with plenty of space, comfortable beds and white-faced monkeys to entertain you. Steps away from our favorite restaurants along with a small grocery store and ATM just around the corner. Hector and Ana, the caretakers, were very helpful! We found ourselves with a dead car battery on the morning we wanted to go on a whale tour and Hector was there to help. Didn't get the battery replaced in time for our original plan, but he found us another tour to save the day! Thank you!
