We had a fabulous time at Ariana's place! She was extremely welcoming and provided everything we needed and more - even snacks and gorgeous coffee! The bed is super comfy and the room is filled with beautiful period furniture and quirky touches. It's also extremely well located - close to the trolley stop and to great bars on St Charles. We'd thoroughly recommend a stay at Ariana's place!
Facility and hostess -- exceptional. Ariana welcomed us with fresh flowers, a bowl of fruit, beer in the refrigerator -- nice touches. And she knows the history of the house!
Fantastic access to the St. Charles Trolley and hence, the French Qtr., the Warehouse District, Uptown, and just a couple blocks off the Garden District. Unusual cozy "apartment" in back yard, with lovely garden patio, of an interesting old house. Probably working class neighborhood, but looks neat, and seems secure. Very enjoyable stay for five days.....
Ariana's maisonette was the perfect place for us to stay in New Orleans. The wee house is perfect for 2, and the garden was lovely from morning to evening. We were welcomed with snacks and a nice note, and Ariana was super quick to respond with any questions or needs we had. Thanks to Ariana's thoughtfulness, the maisonette was the perfect respite from crummy NYC weather, and we can't wait to visit again!
Ariana was a lovely hostess! Beautiful, peaceful little maisonette tucked away in a garden. The photos don't show that there is also a desk and chair in the room, which is great! The bathroom is very large and comfortable. The rest of the maisonette is also wonderful, as pictured. Prime location. Thank you, Ariana!
My partner and I agree that we got to know the City in a way we never did before, even though we each were three or four time visitors to NO. We credit the location we stayed at, the use of the streetcar as a primary transportation source. as majhor facotors. The best one however, was Ariano, who gave us wise tips on where to go how to get there and what to avoid. She was careful and attentive as a host. We were bless3ed to find her and the Maisonette. Ariana was a great host. Her place was clean and had all the amenities we could possibly need. It can't be located any more conveniently. We were able to walk everywhere. Ariana was a warm and gracious host. She made sure we had everything we needed. There was a fruit bowl with other goodies in there and beverages in the refrigerator. She even printed our boarding passes for us. The experience totally exceeded our expectations. Ariana's place has our highest recommendation.
My boyfriend and I used Airbnb for the first time with Ariana. The place was GREAT. She was just leaving for a meeting on her bicycle when we got there (a day late due to airline sadly), and was able to show us the place and make us feel comfortable. She responds immediately to texts on suggestions on where to go eat, etc. The place is sooo cute and what can I say that all of the other reviews already have not. I didn't know what toiletries she would have there, but I really didn't need to bring any as it turned out. She has toothpaste, some hair care products, hair dryer, iron, ironing board. You name it. Based on this experience alone I will always try to use this site to book something instead of a hotel. So much more personable. Loved it!
This is a perfect place to stay. We loved the location. The streetcar, which is only a block and a half away, is a very easy way to get to the French Quarter and other areas of the city. The one day pass is only $3.00. Also, there are great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Two blocks away, on St. Charles, is a convenience store with a little deli in the back that has good fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and other homemade specials.
The cottage is so beautiful and private. We really felt at home. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the bathroom is large. There is a nice kitchen area with a gas stove which is great for cooking.
Ariana is a great host! She left a bowl of fruit and snacks for us and even had Abita beers in the fridge. Next to the bed was a vase of the most beautiful flowers. Ariana also left us a list of restaurants and other places to visit.
The private garden has beautiful plants and trees. This was such a treat, as we came here from snowy Minnesota in January and haven't seen green plants for months! Every night when we came back to the cottage, there were candles lit at our patio table. We felt so welcomed! The patio is truly your own space.
We can't wait to come back!
What a great experience at Ariana's fabulous New Orleans hideaway! She's perfectly situated on a quiet street that is halfway between Audubon Park and the French Quarter and a short walk to the streetcar. The accommodations were just right for 1-2 people: comfortable bed, great shower, and nice kitchenette facilities..And she's a wonderful hostess, offering a beautiful courtyard (in warmer weather), cocktails, snacks, and water in her well-appointed maisonette. I'll definitely be back in the future.
Ariana was friendly, helpful and attentive. The unit was just as represented, conveniently located and we were able to explore the Garden District with ease. The unit was safe and secure and well stocked and we would not hesitate to stay here in the future. We could not have asked for a more gracious hostess.
