Come visit our historic maisonette conveniently located right off of famous St Charles Avenue and in one of the country's most beautiful neighborhoods.
We are a block and half from the St. Charles Avenue Street Car and all of the Uptown Mardi Gras parades (including ZULU!!). The Street Car will take you on a historic ride down oak-lined St. Charles Ave. to the French Quarter or to the University area. We are just a few blocks away from some of the city's most famous restaurants and cemeteries.
You may stroll through the beautiful Garden District, experience some of the world's most amazing architecture on your way to the shops of Magazine St.. Truly a walkable neighborhood with unbeatable beauty.
The accommodations offer a beautiful private courtyard with fountains, ferns, and shade. Guests are invited to enjoy the courtyard as their own and treat the studio as their perfect pocket in the city.
If you're part of a larger party visiting the city, you are welcome to invite friends and colleagues over for entertaining.
Grill available for guest use upon request.
We live in the front house so you have your privacy and we'll be right there to give you great recommendations and directions whenever you need!
If you are interested in staying for a week or more, please ask us about special rates that may be available!
When you book, please provide me with your arrival details. Keys will be left in a lock box on the front door for you along with instructions for entry. I will give you the code to the lock box once the reservation is made. Although I prefer to meet and greet guests, it is not always convenient as I work throughout the week and weekend and guests' travel plans often change.

This is a great place to stay. There were candles lit in the beautiful courtyard every night. We also started every day in the courtyard with coffee we made from the french press, very nice.
It's not in the French Quarter if that's what you are lookin for, but I kinda enjoyed getting away from it all. You can easily get anywhere via cab or streetcar (Or bike if you can bring it, or rent one), and the area felt safe even coming home at late at night.
There is also plenty of places you can walk to including Magazine Street and the heart of the Garden District. I actually walked to the quarter my first day but it is a little bit of a hike, but a great way to take in St. Charles Ave. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.
Ariana's stylish little Maisonette was perfect for my wife and I's one night getaway to NOLA. Comfortable bed, stylish amenities, and in a great neighborhood. The courtyard & fountain(s) were gorgeous as well - wish we had spent more time in it! As the listing says, one of the best things about this space is the close vicinity to the St. Charles streetcar - which we used repeatedly. Ariana was so nice & generous to us from the moment we met her. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking to stay in New Orleans. Hoping to visit again soon!
Great little spot close to St. Charles avenue streetcar. Ariana was very helpful and accomodating. I would definately recommend staying here.
The maisonette was very thoughtfully equipped. The treats were a lovely welcome (especially the beer!) and being able to make French press coffee in the morning meant we were able to relax on the lovely patio before we started our wanderings. Ariana is a lovely host, she alerted us to some sights and music that we wouldn't have known about. She also lit tea lights in front of our quarters nightly, which was a very considerate touch. Highly recommend!
Ariana's place was amazing! The location was perfect- right off St. Charles with a quick walk to the street car, and easy access to the Garden District. We were able to meet and hang out with other guests, and loved the "secret" garden in the back. Ariana provided some snacks upon arrival and was willing to answer questions and offer suggestions that would make our stay more enjoyable. She was just as communicative during the booking process as she was during the trip. We would love to go back!
Ariana was a gracious host and very accommodating! She is located in a great neighborhood, very walkable, with beautiful homes lining the streets. When we sadly had to pack our bags and depart, we spoke about returning to this specific spot and would recommend it to everyone!
My husband and I stayed at this lovely Maisonette over the Saint Patrick's Day weekend. It was so convenient to the Garden District parade route, to Magazine Street shops and restaurants, and to the streetcar line. You definitely don't need a car if you plan to stay here!
Ariana was so thoughtful in preparing the Guest House. We arrived to snacks (Zapp's Potato Chips!), Abita beers, and the local radio station WWOZ playing in the background. As recently moved Louisianans, we loved her thoughtfulness. It made us feel right at home, and we are sure it will to future visitors. If you are looking for safe, personable and somewhat private space in NOLA, this is it!
Absolutely seamless stay. Flexible and understanding on arrival/departure times and had accommodations (snacks/drinks) for us. In addition to answering questions and helping navigate the city. Close to the trolley in to the French quarter
We had a fabulous time at Ariana's place! She was extremely welcoming and provided everything we needed and more - even snacks and gorgeous coffee! The bed is super comfy and the room is filled with beautiful period furniture and quirky touches. It's also extremely well located - close to the trolley stop and to great bars on St Charles. We'd thoroughly recommend a stay at Ariana's place!
Facility and hostess -- exceptional. Ariana welcomed us with fresh flowers, a bowl of fruit, beer in the refrigerator -- nice touches. And she knows the history of the house!
Fantastic access to the St. Charles Trolley and hence, the French Qtr., the Warehouse District, Uptown, and just a couple blocks off the Garden District. Unusual cozy "apartment" in back yard, with lovely garden patio, of an interesting old house. Probably working class neighborhood, but looks neat, and seems secure. Very enjoyable stay for five days.....
