The Space

Situated right of the Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail our condo is just minutes to downtown by car or bike!

Welcome to our modern warehouse style townhome in the Lakeshore community.

ABOUT THE LOCATION:

Situated right along the famous Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail this neighborhood offers gorgeous views of the downtown skyline and plenty of green spaces with squirrels frolicking in the old oak trees. Lakeshore Blvd is one of the few tree canopied streets you'll find in Austin.
Located east of Congress along Lady Bird Lake so you don't have to go far to watch the famous Congress Avenue Bridge bat colony fly directly overhead most evenings. The bats become active in mid-March but become ever more active the hotter it gets here, so enjoy the cool breeze from the lake and watch the bats fly over head.

Within walking distance you will find food trailers, stand up paddle board rentals, electric bike rentals, Emo's, Antones, The Buzz Mill (a 24 hour coffee shop that houses the Blue Ox BBQ and serves local draft beer and infused liquors), some of the best mexican food you'll get in Austin, and so much more!

ABOUT THE HOUSE:

Our 2 story townhome is directly in front of the courtyard diving pool so it boasts a nice pool view. Downstairs we have a very open floor plan with beautiful stained concrete floors. Our kitchen is open to the living room with a butcher block bar for easy entertaining while cooking. Perfect for dinner parties. When it comes to cooking our Italian gas stove is up to the challenge, and our kitchen is fully stocked with just about anything you could need including a side by side refrigerator with water and ice, and a nearly silent Bosch dishwasher to get everything clean.
2 large bedrooms await upstairs.
Bedroom 1 has a queen sized platform bed with a 2nd queen sized mattress that pulls out from underneath to host up to 4 guests comfortably. Views are to the east and face green spaces with a partial view of lady bird lake.
Bedroom 2 is larger, considered the master bedroom with 1 queen sized platform bed, an antique upholstered chair and a vintage desk. This room overlooks the courtyard and pool.

If more sleeping space is needed we have 2 additional air mattresses, and an extremely comfortable 11 foot long leather couch.

Upstairs you'll also find a large modern bathroom with tiled bath/shower complete with unlimited hot water. Upstairs you'll also have use of our full size high efficiency Bosch washer and dryer with natural laundry detergent.

TRANSPORTATION:

Bus: For $1 dollar you can take a 7 minute bus ride on the number 7, 20, or 100 to congress and riverside. Theses busses run every few minutes and the bus stop is at the corner of our street. From the Airport also just $1.00 and just one bus.

  • Steven and Victor have a wonderful home. We enjoyed our stay so very much. The condo has a wonderful vibe, and we even made friends at the pool. It was so easy to get everywhere we wanted to go, and very comfortable when we wanted to chill out. We had everything we could want, and would love to stay there again.

  • Our stay at Steven's condo was AWESOME! It's close to the everything downtown and pretty much 7 min away from everything else. The space was clean, beautiful, spacious and oh so comfortable. The river is a 1 minute walk away, but the amazing pool is only a few steps away. SO REFRESHING. The fish tank was absolutely mesmerizing as well as playing nintendo. Great communicators and available to make the stay even better than it was. We had a great time! DAT COUCH! ^_^

  • Steven's condo was ideally located, seemed like it was 2 miles from pretty much everywhere! It was also clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, and had just about everything you might need over the course of a few days. Easy private parking and easy access to trails along "town lake." I'd highly recommend it.

  • Amazing stay in Austin at this property. Steven was very accommodating with an early check in for us. The place was clean, modern, and roomy enough for my family and my sister's family. The beds were comfortable and the couch was great! The neighbors were very friendly with conversations at the pool and at the little smoking area out back. Our kids loved the pool and the fish tank the most. Location was perfect with food trucks right next door, a walking path across the street by the lake, a Walgreens at the corner, and minutes from both downtown and the airport. Having young kids, we went to Zilker Park, only a few minutes away where we rode the miniature train, swam in Barton Springs, and played on the many playgrounds. Steven was a great host, treating us to locally made organic ice cream, and coffee. He made us feel like family, we felt like we knew him forever. We will definitely stay at this property for our next visit! We miss him already!

  • Our stay at Steven's condo was wonderful. It's close to the bars downtown and only a few minutes away from South Congress. The space was clean with plenty of room in closets for our things. Down pillows and comforters, great water pressure, and a kind and informative host with great food and bar recommendations. The river nearby has a fantastic running/walking path. The condo complex was artful and secure. We had a great time!

  • Steven has been a great host. Despite our lateish arrival, Steven was there to welcome us at short notice. Very helpful, pleasant host, very much recommended. Cool apartment, within walking distance to Rainey Street. Longest sofa we've ever seen, great wifi, basically all you need. Shops in the neighbourhood. Easy, effortless, all you want from a booking.

  • Great weekend stay for two couples. Steven was in constant contact with us. The price was right, location exceptional. Restaurants nearby along with an adult beverage store. We would stay there again to be sure.

  • We had a BLAST in Austin for NYE 13! Myself, my husband and 3 other friends stayed in Steven's townhouse very comfortably! His location was perfect for our plans. We walked to almost everything we did! Emo's & Antone's (music venues) are basically across the street from this townhouse. There is a coffee/craft beer shop within walking distance as well. 6th street is a short cab ride. The townhouse complex is small & inviting. All of the neighbors were friendly and understanding. We had absolutely NO issues while we were in Steven's home. He was a gracious host. Couldn't have asked for anything more. & the couch... it really is as awesome as everyone has said! Thanks for everything Steven. I hope we meet again.

  • This place is spacious and unique, with a lot of different design elements and the longest couch I've ever seen! It is a 10-minute drive to just about anything downtown, and it's very easy to get to the highways if you want to go North or South. The gas range and other kitchen appliances are great, and parking was easy and secure. Though we didn't get a chance to try them, there are a few food trucks right next door and restaurants just down the street, so it would be easy to grab a bite.

About
I was born in Aruba while my parents were practicing naturopathic medicine on the island and i've had the opportunity to live throughout the U.S. and choose Austin as my home. I enjoy red wine, good local beer, trailer food, kayaking, rowing and I try to travel to at least 1 new country each year. In Austin I work as a Realtor with a focus on modern properties and I love to show off my city. Austin is an amazing city with so much to offer including social bike rides, titty bingo, Alamo Drafthouse, community gardens, world class restaurants, secret beach spots, awesome hiking & biking trails, and so much more. I and my patner thoroughly enjoy being host's on airbnb. We can provide you with an endless amount of suggestions for things to do and places to eat, or leave you completely to your own devices. We strive to ensure our guests have what they need and that they get what they want and more out of their visit to Austin.
