Great location, great hosts, very nice apartment and parking to boot. Not much more one could ask for. My girlfriend left a couple of pair of shoes and Cary sent them to us right away. Really fabulous. Would definitely recommend this AirBnb to anyone without reservation.
Great location, great host, great home. everything was perfect. Thank you!
This was a great apartment and a fantastic last-minute find during a very crowded weekend in SF. Cary and Cam were responsive and easy to communicate with. We never got to meet them in person since we arrived into town late after our planned key exchange time, but Cam was totally accommodating even though he was getting out of town himself.
The apartment is well-appointed and very comfortable. The master bedroom is large with a king bed and the den is the perfect size for the air mattress. We were two couples and had no problem living in the apartment together for three days.
I recommend this apartment to those visiting SF.
Cary is amazing and so is the apartment. We locked ourselves out twice and both times Cary had been so understanding and helpful even though she's all the way in Hawaii. The apartment is very well located - you're literally minutes away from the water, so it's perfect for morning jogs. We also love the decor of the house - the artworks and photographs are gorgeous. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home with us Cary!
Had a great time in SF. Cary's place was wonderful. Beautiful garden sitting area. Plenty of hot water, heat available and very comfortable bed. The neighborhood is quiet. The garage was a real plus allowing us to park (not easy in SF ) our SUV and store our bikes when not in use.
We will be back !
It's very hard not to gush about Cary and Cam and their apartment. You won't find hosts as selfless and kind as these two. As a case in point, Cary and Cam rescheduled their own travel plans just to accommodate our dates. From my experience with Airbnb and similar sites, that type of kindness is unheard of. If communication with them was a breeze, staying in their home was equally stress-free. There were no lists or requirements upon checking in and out, but instead a simple request to treat the place as we would like our own place treated. That type of trust in their guests captured the tone of our experience with them in a nutshell.
The apartment strikes a perfect balance between lived-in warmth and anonymous getaway. The living room's three windows offer an abundant source of natural light during daytime, while the slight, distant foghorn blowing from the bay transports you at nighttime to a San Francisco of old that is at once soothing and otherworldly.
The apartment's Marina location is also ideal for any type of visitor. For hardcore tourists seeking the likes of Fisherman's Wharf and Coit Tower/Telegraph Hill, you're a six-minute drive away--not to mention a three-block walk from the architecturally masterful Palace of Fine Arts. If you're seeking out day trips to Marin County, I can't stress enough how convenient the location is. A quick turn onto Bay Street and within five minutes you're on the Golden Gate Bridge crossing en route to Sausalito. If you're like us and prefer leisurely vacations and want to get a sense of the pace of everyday San Francisco life, you can't find a better spot. A ten-minute stroll south finds you on Cow Hollow's quaint, adorable Union Street lined with cute cafes and shops (Chengoo for dog-lovers! Rose's Cafe for an afternoon glass of wine at an outdoor table). The apartment is only a few blocks from Crissy Field too, so if you're seeking a nice run/walk/hike, heading straight west on its path leads you right to Hopper's Hands at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge and a path to Baker Beach, which is as picturesque in person as in photos.
This is a hidden gem hosted by a delightful couple. I can't recommend it highly enough.
The apartment literally could not have been better - great location, clean and well appointed making us feel very at home. Cary was out of town while we were there but has a friend meet us to give us the keys and all of the relevant info as well as answer any questions we had.
Basically an awesome place that we would not hesitate to rent whenever we return to SF.
