Response from Shaun:

Deborah, Thanks so much for the lovely review. For one night you sure did experience Pilsen! I'm really glad you brought up the fact that the way our house is set up with several guests and shared bathrooms could feel like a hostel. My inspiration was the many pensiones I stayed in while traveling in southern Europe. I was too old for the hostel scene myself, but really enjoyed meeting other travelers and locals, and found it much homier than a hotel. We don't really have that tradition in the US, but perhaps are creating it now with Airbnb! All the best and happy travels, Shaun

Thank you so much, Jane, for the nice review. I'm so happy you and your niece had a wonderful cultural experience here in Chicago in one of the most established Latino communities in the country. It was a real pleasure hearing about your plans and I think your niece is so lucky to have had this experience with you. All the best,Shaun
