The decor is rustic elegant comfort. The space is very unique and charming, surrounded by trees. We have 7.5 acres and love our secluded setting. Come enjoy our 14 foot yurt and kozy kitchen, connected by decks. The decks offer a nice outdoor living space with a couple of chairs and a BBQ to cook your dinner. Enjoy the outside fire pit, ready to go with paper, kindling and wood. The outhouse is very nearby, just a short walk.

The space
When you walk into the Yurt you will Enjoy the natural light from the window and door. In the evenings turn on the light strand that runs the interior circumference of the yurt and the kitchen, ran off of solar. You can watch a movie, using the small tv and dvd player, also run off solar. Just walk out on the deck and turn on the inverter and you have solar power. In the yurt you can get plenty warm when you get the wood stove going, and with the thick insulation the yurt retains heat. We have many local alaskan authored and themed books for your perusal. Keep it fun and interactive by playing several games that are available for you to play, including chess, checkers, cards, uno and others.

Where you’ll be

Homer, Alaska, United States

We live 10 miles, east of homer, so it's 10 minutes to the beach, the spit, and town attractions and supplies. Fritz Creek General Store and Post Office is less than 1 mile from us. You can get most essentials there and some great pastries, sandwiches, soups and other yummy stuff to eat! Homer is a big farming community. We have a small farm with chickens and quail, some peasants and raise a lovely garden, both outside and in our 20 x 52 ft high-tunnel greenhouse. We love to eat fresh produce in the summer and all winter long, from produce out of our garden. The homer farmers market is Lovely in the summer.

During your stay

We look forward to meeting our guests and sharing a story, giving a short tour or hanging around the bonfire, if we have time. Also can give you all the space and privacy you like. We do live on the property and you will go past our home to get to the yurt. We both have jobs away from home. We are always available by phone.
