This was a comfortable base from which we could easily explore both Skibbereen and Union Hall. Situated near two cosy pubs, Connollys and the Leap Inn. Breakfasts were really substantial. Thanks Ger.

Nice place, very kind and helpful people, good bus connection to the many charming villages and harbours....every morning i walked in the woods near the lake and the Irish breakfast was well served, rich and delicious. I liked West Cork Area. There are many amazing places to see.

Ger is lovely and the town is nice to stay in for a few nights. It has a river on the other side of the road and a little waterfall next to the premises. It is comfortable that the bathroom is private. You can eat breakfast and diner at the little cafe. Breakfast is great but don't recommend the mixed grill (diner) as it is almost the same as the Irish breakfast.

Great location, right in the centre of the town. Room was out back of building with its own access. So quiet at night. Room had ensuite with shower. Room was cosy and had a TV. We were in leap for a gig in Connolly's, which is almost next door, so perfect for what we wanted. We were also lucky enough to arrive for some of the towns festival which had been postponed from previous week, so Gers was the hub of these events. There is also a really good chipper/diner in Gers which was were we had our breakfast the next morning. Make sure you bring your appetite as portions are generous! Also check out the waterfall out back and the faerie garden Would definitely stay here again Ger is a great host and was very helpful
