We bought this 1953 Spartanette in the Spring of 2010 and spent 18 months restoring it to modern standards. We completely removed all the original paneling, flooring, and fixtures. We maintained the original floor plan, but replaced the floors, walls, electrical, plumbing, and insulation with modern equivalents. All the windows and doors were fixed or replaced. The bath was upgraded to include a large sink, full shower, and a modern yacht style toilet. The original half bath tub was repaired and replaced. Built in cabinets were designed and installed for ample storage. Our house and the Spartanette are now powered entirely by solar panels.

Rental includes street parking, wireless internet access, CD/Aux stereo, and cable TV. Pick up and drop off from airport can be arranged. Catering may also be available.

We hope to hear from you.

  • loved it all!

  • Sara was a perfect host! Her home is absolutely beautiful, the backyard is a sanctuary and her pups are as sweet as can be! All the time and detail shows in their design. This lovingly restored Spartanette was stocked with cold lonestar, topo chico and yummy coffee. We hosted a little backyard movie night and they could not have been move accommodating!

  • We loved the Spartanette, it was cosy, really nicely
done up inside and the backyard was great for hanging out. Sara was really helpful and laid back, and gave us lots of good suggestions for places to eat and drink nearby.
    We will definitely be returning.

  • This was our very first time booking on airbnd! What an awesome experience! The Spartanette was immaculate! Charming neighborhood with idyllic backyard perfect for just chilling. We made a quick trip to see our daughter at UT and it was 2 minutes from her dorm! Sara and hubs and pups and chicks were awesome, just the right amount of interaction...left us to enjoy ourselves. Slept like a baby and we will definitely be back!

    January 2014
  • The spartanette was super cute and well equipped with everything we needed. Sara told us about all the cool places to hang out in Austin and left us to do our own thing. Our only complaint was that you can hear everything from inside the trailer. There was a loud party going on the night we were there as well as sirens and general city noises so it was not as peaceful and quiet as we had hoped. Free beer, coffee, and topo chico was nice. It's definitely a unique experience. Thanks!
