In a building of great historical importance and notified, in the heart of the historic center just 50 meters from Piazza Pitti, we rented for short periods beautiful tastefully decorated apartment. Located in district d' Oltrarno, the most characteristic quarters of Florence, under the house with all services (bus, chemist, supermarket, banks, etc..), a few steps from Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Santo Spirito and the most important monuments and museums of Florence. It consists of entrance hall, bathroom with shower, kitchen with all appliances, large living room with sofa bed, double room, and bedroom with single bed and a half (120x190). Free wi-fi, dishwasher, washing machine, LCD TV with satellitel and air condition. Accommodates up to 5 / 6 people.
Thanks to its location everything is close at hand, near the house you will find a supermarket, a wash & dry, a public garage, Market Daily, as well as shops and restaurants typical of the traditional cuisine that make this area a vibrant and lively place to spend a pleasant stay.

David's apartment is in a wonderful situation. It is spacious and comfortable, close to the Ponte Vecchio, a very easy walk to the centre but quiet. David is a very good host, he greeted us with enthusiasm and provided us with all the information necessary for a smooth, uncomplicated stay.
Splendid apartment in Palazzo Pitti- neighbourhood. Host David was very friendly. Double-keys would have been needed, but were not this time possible.
David was a very gracious host with great communication prior to our visit and a wonderful walk through and welcome bottle of wine upon arrival. His restaurant recommendations were a great help given the plethora of choices in Firenze.
Apt. location is really the best of both worlds. It is a 15 minute or less walk to just about everything in the city, still in the old part of the city, yet quiet enough in the evening for sleep comfort. Nestled next to the Pitti Palace with a daily farmer's market around the corner and a mid-size Conad grocery store about 5 minutes walk the location was terrific for a longer stay.
The kitchen, dining and living room areas are large and worked fine for our group of three. There were enough pots and pans to create a pretty nice Christmas dinner. The bath was a bit cozy but the water was hot. The bedrooms have been fashioned above the kitchen by creating a loft. The access is quite steep and narrow so people with limited mobility may want to consider the sofa bed in the living room. Also consider that while you are only going up two stories from the street it really is four flights of stairs (there is a lift). Be sure to ask David about working the lights in the stairwell.
We cabbed our bags from the train station coming then walked them back upon departure. Should have probably cabbed leaving too as it's a bit far to roll a case or two.
This was our fourth visit to Firenze and was the best place we've stayed in the city thanks to it's quieter (in comparison) evenings.
Location Location Location- This apartment is right there where you want to be in Florence. It is about a 5 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio, less than 1 minute from the Pitti Palace. The apartment is quite spacious and is very comfortable. David, the owner, was extremely punctual, informative and responsive. He gave us great advice on restaurants and where they are located. The building has an elevator. We had a fine time and would stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at David's apartment in Florence. David was very welcoming, arriving promptly to meet us with a nice bottle of chianti in his hand. He gave us a good rundown of the area and of the apartment. The apartment was excellently located for seeing the sights, the duomo, the Academia and the Ufizzi gallery, with most just walking distance away. The area itself is peppered with boutiques, workshops and restaurants and was a bit less touristy than the absolute centre. The apartment was spacious except for the second bedroom, but as we used this as our baby's room it was adequate. The apartment is a little worn around the edges but has lots of character and is in a beautiful old building. It was very clean and fairly well equipped. One big plus is that it has a lift which is great if you have a lot of luggage. The main issue for us was that the heating wasn't particularly effective which, traveling in November with a four month old, was quite important. David did his best to rectify this during our stay but to no avail. He said he will get a different system installed for future guests. It wasn't a big deal for us as the week we stayed was quite mild but it would be something to check out with David if traveling there in colder months. At the end of our stay David saw us off, helped us by calling a cab and helped me with our bags (I had pulled my shoulder). All in all it was a great place to stay and very good value. We will remember our time in Florence fondly. Thanks David!
Beautify apartment, great location, charming host, we'd definitely like to come back and stay at this apartment again! Thank you David.
We had a lovely time in Florence. David's apartment was definitely very well situated - almost everything that has to be seen in Florence was well within walking distance from here. The Pitti Palace and Boboli garden are literally just around the corner. You walk further down from there and you reach Ponte Vecchio and the Piazza Signoria. A short walk after and you inevitably reach the Duomo. The best hidden and off the beaten path trattorias are also around the apartment's area.
David was very accommodating in terms of our schedule. Since check in could not be done until noon, he allowed us to leave our luggage at the apartment so that we could go around hassle free while waiting for the apartment to be ready for check in. He was also very much on time for both check in and check out. Freshly baked bread and wine awaited us upon check in. He gave us a tour of the apartment which i must say is very spacious at great value. He taught us how to use everything we were unfamiliar with including the washer and italian coffee maker (which was quite good that my husband bought one before we left). He also left a number of business cards of establishments he recommended. During check out, as excited as he was to go back to his new born baby girl (who was born the night before we checked out), he called for a taxi for us and waited for us to get into the cab before leaving.
The apartment itself was very clean. The bathroom is big and modern. Shower/heater worked very well. Water pressure was very good too. Kitchen was very functional and stocked with the basics if you intend to cook and dine in. Adapters for charging gadgets are all over the apartment as well. And for those of you who cannot travel light, the lift in this building will definitely come in useful as it did for us. This apartment, however old it may be has been kept very well, and is so rich in history which makes it even more unique.
I very much recommend this apartment especially to those who want to be well situated near the centre of the city and at the same time away from the busy streets for some peaceful rest at night.
Wonderful host, David had a bottle of wine ready to welcome us, water in the fridge, explained all the things we needed to know about the apartment and shared local knowledge of restuarants and markets. The position is fantastic, good kitchen for cooking and very relaxing lounge.
