The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Some have called the southern-most fjord in Europe, but it is a ria, a submerged river canyon. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape. (Source: Wikipedia).
Please note, Kotor can get noisy in the evenings as the young and the young at heart soak up the atmosphere (and a few drinks).

The stay was wonderful. The place is right in Kotor old city; a truly wonderful spot. Peter and Lidija were excellent. Communication was great. Strongly recommend visiting Kotor and staying with them.
I didn't meet Peter in person - our contact was Lidija who was very nice and helpful. Both her and Peter were very fast in responding to mails, which is great! I wish we meet one day and come stay in one of his apartments again!
Location is perfect right in the middle of atmospheric Kotor old town. We got a little turned around finding the place but we called Peter and his assistant was kindly able to meet us and take us to the apartment. It's a top floor studio in the heart of everything with great views up to the mountains and rooftops. It's well done inside and has a very quaint feel with slanted ceilings and exposed beams. Spacious enough and with full kitchen.
The bed was actually a pull out couch so was not the most comfortable for two people. Also the Wifi connection was not great - only one of us could connect and that only when sitting in a specific spot.
I believe this is a new listing though and they were making improvements still (washing machine was installed during our stay) so keep an eye on this apartment. The hosts seem dedicated so I expect this listing to only improve.
Really though you stay here for the location and it really can't be beat. If you want to spend your trip inside an apartment then I don't know why you are visiting Kotor!
Hi Ryan, thanks for your detailed review.
I'm glad that you picked up on the fact that the apartments are new listings and indeed we are committed to making improvements and trying to remain competitive in our pricing, especially considering the quality of accommodation and the location. I'm sure that you'll be pleased to hear that I've just bought 3 Philips hairdryers and an iron so that all apartments will have their own hairdryer, of course, and an iron and ironing board. In addition to investing in SMART TV's this year for each apartment, I've bought an extra washing machine so that both 1 bedroom apartments have a washing machine and a large tumble dryer (this is mainly for the convenience of Lidija to that she has everything on site to launder all the bedding and towels.
Sorry about the sofa-bed, I was hoping to get a double bed earlier in the season but as I run a Real Estate agency (ntRealty) I was crazy busy this summer and didn't get time to do that. With luck there will be a double bed in the Studio within a week (website hidden) the WiFi, I've just copy/pasted the comment to Michael Ellis above:
in general in Montenegro the internet connection is a bit iffy. We have paid for a really decent broadband connection (it's all relative, we are in Montenegro after all and the telecoms aren't the same as in the UK for example). We are now hoping t to change the router soon which should give a better overall signal to the intermittent internet service.
I would like to explain firstly, that as when we had arrived there was a little problem with the studio, Peter kindly offered us to stay in his second , 1 - bedroom apartment located just below the first one, without any extra cost. We could choose the one we liked and though the studio was really nice, we accepted the kind proposal and spent wonderful time in the 1 bedroom apartment and my review will be about it. The place is absolutely gorgeous! There were 2 of us, we stayed for 3 days and felt extremely sorry that we couldn't spent much more time there. Located in the very heart of the old town, light, very spacious, cosy, brand new, fully equipped, with wonderful, interesting design, picturesque view over the roofs of the old town, pigeons sitting just in front of the windows under the roofs, mountains, just a perfect apartment to stay in.
Peter was a great host, very kind, understanding, attentive, I am extremely grateful to him for the magic time spent in his apartment. I would 100% surely recommend this place to stay in!
I liked staying in Kotor very much. It was like a fairy tale. The apartment is wonderful. In the heart of the town. Very good location. Hosts are very friendly and eager to help.
The location is great! It is in the heart of old town. You just walk out the door and have immediate access to cute cafés and shops. Peter was really quick with communication. He was unable to be there when we arrived, but friendly Lidija was there. She was flexible with our arrival time (we arrived earlier than we expected). The bed was pretty squeaky, but we managed to sleep just fine. I recommend staying at this apartment.

I have loved and lived in Montenegro since 2005. Having traveled/back-packed myself for many years I hope I understand at least the very basics of what you're looking for in accommodation. Clean, great location, well priced and amenities such as WiFi, Smart TV, Cooking Facilitates etc.
