Right in the heart of "South Slope" is this apartment for rent, which is close to trains, restaurants and the magnificent Prospect Park, every convenience is at your fingertips. We keep a clean and streamlined home, but cozy enough to relax in. There is one full bathroom, a sofa-bed and a full sized bed upstairs in the master bedroom. The apartment is fully stocked, just bring your toothbrush!
The best part is the nice sized deck off the kitchen, which is great in the Spring and Summer. It's comfortable and sunny, but also has one high wall which blocks direct sunlight, so it isn't overwhelmingly hot. But if it is, just swoop into the kitchen for lemonade!
Right on our corner of 12th Street is a great diner at 7th avenue and on the other corner at 6th avenue you have your choice of two different great coffee houses, both have internet. 7th Avenue has quite an array of restaurants. Most of the time, we have a hard time trying to decide where to eat! There is a movie theatre a few blocks away and Prospect Park is three blocks away.
The house is accessible to the F/R/G trains. And we are about a 35 minute drive to JFK and Laguardia Airports. The ride into Manhattan is about 20 minutes on the F train.
The adjacent neighborhoods are Prospect Heights, Carroll Gardens, Windsor Terrace. And a bit further is Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Boerum Hill and Fort Greene.
There is internet and cable TV.
We reside downstairs when we have guests upstairs. (This is a two family house)
Thanks and look forward to seeing you!

wonderful all around.
Lillian has thought of everything. The welcome information covered everything you need to know wifi, transit, things to see/do in the area, shopping & restaurants. 12th St. is convenient, quiet and close to everything we needed. The apartment was sunny with a sense of spaciousness you don't find in NYC very often. Fans & 2 AC units kept the apt cool and comfortable. The deck is GREAT. It looks out over the wooded backyards, quiet for a cup of coffee in the am or unwinding at the end of a NY walking day. For people traveling to the Park Slope area of Brooklyn (where there is lots to see/do and hotels are few), this is a perfect answer.
Lillian was a terrific host and the duplex was perfect for our visit to Brooklyn. It was clean, comfortable and located near lots of great coffee shops, restaurants and stores on 7th Avenue, but it was very quiet considering it was in the heart of Park Slope. The communication was great and she was very accommodating and helpful. The deck was a wonderful addition to the space and we loved sitting out there with our coffee in the morning. We would absolutely recommend staying here!
We stayed for four days in this lovely little place. It comfortably slept my husband and I in the upstairs bedroom, and my father was quite content on the pullout sofa downstairs. From beginning to end, we were very impressed and pleased with our stay. We appreciated the cold drinks awaiting us in the fridge, and Lillian was very flexible with our checkout time, which was a great relief not to have to wait with out luggage in the train station for hours. We loved watching the birds off the back deck, and it was very convenient to subways, grocery stores, and Laundromats, nevermind great little cafes and parks. We will definitely look to return next time we're in town.
Lillian was an excellent host who responded promptly to questions about the apartment and everything was in order when we arrived. The apartment was clean, well-maintained and nicely-furnished. We appreciated the snacks she provided and her flexibility in letting us check in slightly earlier and check out an hour later. The apartment is in an excellent location; the immediate surroundings are pretty quiet, and we were very close to many eateries and grocery stores on 7th Ave and it was a 5-minute walk to the subway stop.
We were newbies to airbnb and for our first experience it was great. We would definitely consider it again when we travel and if Lillian's place is available we would love to stay again. The place is very modern and comfortable - we were in for my cousin's graduation from law school and we were close to her and also other family who were staying in Park Slope. Upon arriving there was a nice welcome basket with snacks and notes welcoming us for our stay. Made us feel at home for our stay. We drove to NYC and had no problem finding parking for the weekend and so convenient to the trains to get into the city.
So many amenities as being at home - cable tv, internet access, coffee in the morning and the comforts of relaxing. There is also a great deck - the weather was not great to be able to hang out there during our stay.
Park slope is a great area and also a great place to walk around - 7th ave has many great restaurants and close to little shops. Looking for good bagels - Bagel Hole is the best and then there is also a cute homemade pasta and mozzarella shop right around the corner. Thank you again for a wonderful five star accommodation - so much better than a hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay in Lillian's apartment in Park Slope! The neighborhood is an ideal place to live or visit - very safe, community oriented and peaceful, but packed with great restaurants, cafes and fun shops! It's located a few blocks from the F train with quick access to Manhattan or other areas of Brooklyn.
The apartment was clean and well equipped and Lillian was a great host -responding quickly via email to any questions or concerns. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated after my train trip from Virginia, and Lillian was flexible on the check in time - allowing me to arrive a bit early.
Because the weather was so beautiful, I thoroughly enjoyed the deck adjacent to the kitchen for morning coffee and afternoon tea!
I totally recommend this apartment and hope to stay here the next time I visit my daughter in Brooklyn!
A terrific experience! The apartment is very clean, comfortable and just exactly what we needed for a visit to Park Slope. The hosts were accommodating when we needed to check in a bit early, and left welcome goodies for us as well. Thanks!
Great place and great hosts. Perfect for small/young families. Super convenient location, too. We stayed for two weeks around Easter and it was fantastic. Thanks so much!
This is an amazing space. Cozy and quiet with a beautiful deck. I would recommend this to anyone staying for a few days. Everything is clean and neat and there was even a snack basket with goodies. I will be visiting Brooklyn several times a year and hope Lillian doesn't get so booked up that I won't be able to get back in.
