About this listing
Right in the heart of "South Slope" is this apartment for rent, which is close to trains, restaurants and the magnificent Prospect Park, every convenience is at your fingertips. We keep a clean and streamlined home, but cozy enough to relax in. There is one full bathroom, a sofa-bed and a full sized bed upstairs in the master bedroom. The apartment is fully stocked, just bring your toothbrush!
The best part is the nice sized deck off the kitchen, which is great in the Spring and Summer. It's comfortable and sunny, but also has one high wall which blocks direct sunlight, so it isn't overwhelmingly hot. But if it is, just swoop into the kitchen for lemonade!
Right on our corner of 12th Street is a great diner at 7th avenue and on the other corner at 6th avenue you have your choice of two different great coffee houses, both have internet. 7th Avenue has quite an array of restaurants. Most of the time, we have a hard time trying to decide where to eat! There is a movie theatre a few blocks away and Prospect Park is three blocks away.
The house is accessible to the F/R/G trains. And we are about a 35 minute drive to JFK and Laguardia Airports. The ride into Manhattan is about 20 minutes on the F train.
The adjacent neighborhoods are Prospect Heights, Carroll Gardens, Windsor Terrace. And a bit further is Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Boerum Hill and Fort Greene.
There is internet and cable TV.
We reside downstairs when we have guests upstairs. (This is a two family house)
Thanks and look forward to seeing you!
There is a $100.00 booking deposit, in case of any damage which will be refunded to you immediately upon your leaving.
There is a $60.00 cleaning fee which goes directly to our wonderful cleaning lady to insure you have a sparking stay.
Respectful of our friendly neighbors.
My husband and I very much enjoyed the comfort and space of this home. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay- nice towels and linens, coffee pot AND coffee! A bowl of treats was a nice touch for hungry travelers. It is also close to several great restaurant and shopping areas on 7th and 5th. Highly recommended it.
I had a great time staying in Lillian's duplex. It's well equipped, the bed is comfortable and the deck is wonderful for a private outdoor afternoon nap! I'll be back for sure.
Lillian and Rob were perfect hosts and they responded very quickly to any queries we had. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped and ideally located to shops, bars and restaurants. Thanks again and hope to stay gain in the future.
We had a great experience at Lillian's place in Park Slope. The location was convenient, the apartment was comfortable, and our hosts were helpful and not intrusive. Thank you very much!!
This is an amazing place to stay. We loved the unit and the porch. The apartment is very well stocked in the kitchen. Great location. Lillian and Rob were welcoming and very accommodating.
I stayed for 4 nights with my wife and young daughters (2 and 5). Lillian's place is very nice and everything went smoothly during our visit. It's a good choice for anyone who wants to stay in Brooklyn.
Lillian is a wonderful host! She left a nice welcoming note, goodie bowl and a folder with all the needed information about the apartment and the area. It was very comfortable and is in a great location in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. Very close to the subway so the trip into Manhattan is no problem. Lots of great restaurants, little shops and markets all up and down 7th Ave and as a single woman traveler I was comfortable walking where I needed to go any time of the day. It was great to meet Lillian, her husband Rob and adorable daughter Lucy on the weekend of my stay and it was a comfort knowing they were downstairs if I needed anything. As long as my son and his family are living in the area I will be back visiting and hope to be able to stay here again!
About the Host, Lillian
Hi there. We used airbnb during our honeymoon trip in Northern California and we loved our experience. Our listing is new, but I am an experienced landlord and thankfully, have had great experiences sharing spaces (both offices and apartments) in NYC over the last several years. I was born and raised here in Brooklyn and love the neighborhood. We keep a tidy but "lived in" house. We hope you'll reach out and inquire about the space. I'll be happy to answer any questions that you have. And I really look forward to having our first airbnb guests come and enjoy our home and the neighborhood!
(Oh, and that's my husband and two kids in the picture....Rob, Leo and Lucy.)
