We have had great experiences with airbnb all over the world from New York to Rome to Istanbul but Michel was by far the most accommodating and friendly host. He really went the extra mile for us helping us to make a restaurant reservation and to book an early morning taxi to Gare du Nord. As other reviewers have mentioned he showed us around Bastille pointing out all the very best local places. All of his recommendations were absolutely spot on but Le Baron Rouge was our favourite. The apartment itself is immaculate and full of stand out style and quirky character. Michel really has thought of everything and it's a wonderfully located base from which to explore Paris. 5* apartment. 5* host.
Our first Airbnb experience and it was wonderful. The apartment is in a great location, an easy walk to the Bastille metro and a lovely neighborhood. Michel was very warm and welcoming, and showed us neighborhood bakeries, the excellent market, and area restaurants. Michel is experienced at anticipating visitors' need and the apartment was well stocked. Coffee machine, wifi, nice bathroom. Everything was good. Merci beaucoup Michel!
Michel was a really tremendous host. He was attentive and very informative. He helped us with metro tickets, places to eat and places to visit. There were loads of books and maps to peruse. The flat was in the Bastille area with loads of restaurants and shops close by. It is a short walk to the Seine and all the treats Paris has in store. The flat was ideal for the two of us, Michel even left us orange juice and provisions for breakfast.
Michel is a great man. We absolutely loved our stay here and Michel went above and beyond. I came to run the Marathon de Paris and Michel kindly sent a message the day before wishing me good luck. He gave some great recommendations to eat in Bastille (L'Ebauchoir was our favourite) and gave us a little tour which was welcomed.
We absolutely fell in love with Paris aided by a delightful stay in a beautiful apartment.
Uns wurde beim Hereintragen des Gepäcks geholfen (Who is the Fashion victim of you two? haha :D).
('Glück Auf!' is a typical miner's salute in the ruhr area in western germany)

Michel was very welcoming and charming. He awaited us in the apartment the day of our arrival and explained everything to us. He would also show you around in the area. Furthermore he left some orange juice (a really nice one) and some milk in the fridge for us to use. There is also a nice coffee machine. The pictures do perfectly represent the apartment and the bed is really comfortable.
The area around the building is great, lots of good restaurants and the metro station is just 5min walk.
On our departure day Michel did not "force" us to leave early in the morning as our train was leaving not before 2.30. We were able to leave our luggage in the flat until 2 whilst Michel was preparing the flat for the next guests. We really appreciated this.
Many thanks Michel for the nice flat, we had a very good time.
Michel is a perfect host, he showed us around the neighborhoods and make sure we are all covered. the property is very chic, spacious and clean. we love the bastille holiday home. the neighbours are so nice as well, make sure to greet them.

I'm really enjoying sharing my knowledge and experiences of the city through the many wonderful people who've stayed as my guests through Airbnb - what a fantastic concept it is. I take much pleasure in making sure anyone staying with me has a great experience and stay and have a very professional approach in the preparation and presentation of my apartment.
This apartment used to be my home in the city, and although I've moved now, I've taken a lot of care and paid a lot of attention in re-decorating and equipping it to make it the perfect pad from which to explore Paris...
If you've got any questions or need any help while planning your trip to Paris I'd be very happy to lend a helping hand.
Looking forward to hopefully meeting you and welcoming you to Paris...!
