Michel is an excellent host.
He is naturally caring so he went above and beyond making me feel comfortable including walking me around the neighbourhood and meeting me early so I could drop off my bags.
He has thought of everything including coffee, wine, good butter and a lovely blueberry jam!
I would highly recommend this apartment to friends.
We had a wonderful stay in Michels appartment. He was very nice and introduced us in the area and gave some tips for walking, eating and shopping. So we can just recommend him.
It's a lovely apartment！And Michel is so nice and friendly. He showed us all around the apartment and where could find good restaurants！I would stronly recommend to all my friends！
We read the comment from airbnb and knew that Michel is very friendly person and it was just like that. Michel messaged me few days before our arrival and offered us travel & dining advise. He prepared milk & juice for us. The apartment even has a nice coffee machine for us to enjoy.
The room decorated exactly as the image posted. It is situated in the Bastille neighborhood (one street from Bastille station & just a street away from Ledru-Rolin), makes it close to travel attractions via line 1. Great neighborhood, lots to explore, markets, Bistro and a bakery just next to the apartment (let you buy fresh croissant in the morning as breakfast).
The apartment has all the amenities needed, kitchen, bath, TV, wifi and it is very suitable for traveler to stay in Paris. This really let us to feel like living in a Parish neighborhood rather than in hotels.
Michel is friendly in which he gave us a personal tour around neighborhood, visiting some of the food store, markets and bistro. He actually recommend a list and helped us to book one of those, turned out to be the best Paris bistro we tried in our trip. Michel also gave us advise on museums and trips. I am so glad that i have chance to meet him as host.
Michel is more than an Airbnb host, we genuinely feel we made a friend in Paris. He personally greeted us, showed us how everything worked in the apartment (which is very beautifully decorated and appointed). He very cheerfully took us on a tour of the neighborhood, showing us the grand local indoor market, various restaurants and the Metro station we would use. He had many guide books and maps ready to share and made sure he answered all our questions. And this is just the beginning: he was able to make dinner reservations for us at several very memorable restaurants and personally picked up tickets for us to tour Versailles.
Finally - the most memorable day of our 3 week European vacation was when Michel took us on personal tour of the charming hillside district of Montmartre. This was the Monmartre that most visitors do not see. He showed us homes where famous residents had lived, the iconic Sacré-Couer, beautiful views, quaint neighborhoods and swanky digs too. We ended our tour at a sidewalk cafe where (naturally) he was well known and capped the day sharing a bottle of fine wine, escargot, chartucherie and the most delicious pommes frites.
Michel is the most kind and thoughtful Airbnb host we have encountered in our travels. It is no wonder he has hundreds of 5 star reviews. If we could have given 10 stars we would have! Thank you Michel for an unforgettable experience.
We have had great experiences with airbnb all over the world from New York to Rome to Istanbul but Michel was by far the most accommodating and friendly host. He really went the extra mile for us helping us to make a restaurant reservation and to book an early morning taxi to Gare du Nord. As other reviewers have mentioned he showed us around Bastille pointing out all the very best local places. All of his recommendations were absolutely spot on but Le Baron Rouge was our favourite. The apartment itself is immaculate and full of stand out style and quirky character. Michel really has thought of everything and it's a wonderfully located base from which to explore Paris. 5* apartment. 5* host.

About the Host, Michel
I'm really enjoying sharing my knowledge and experiences of the city through the many wonderful people who've stayed as my guests through Airbnb - what a fantastic concept it is. I take much pleasure in making sure anyone staying with me has a great experience and stay and have a very professional approach in the preparation and presentation of my apartment.
This apartment used to be my home in the city, and although I've moved now, I've taken a lot of care and paid a lot of attention in re-decorating and equipping it to make it the perfect pad from which to explore Paris...
If you've got any questions or need any help while planning your trip to Paris I'd be very happy to lend a helping hand.
Looking forward to hopefully meeting you and welcoming you to Paris...!
