Definitely stay here! Michel was so generous and kind in making sure we felt comfortable and familiar with the neighborhood when we arrived. We got a tour of some key places nearby (best baguette in the neighborhood!) and took many of his suggestions for food and we were SO thrilled with them all. If Michel says to go somewhere you can take his word! (Dinners-Italian or french, the market etc) The neighborhood is fun and all of Paris is accessible from Bastille. Things to note about the apartment: furnishing is charming and pictures are accurate, the bed upstairs is cozy and comfortable (be warned tall folks- it's a crouching sort of situation!), the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking (thank you Michel for the essentials when we arrived too!!), and the washer worked great (there's a dryer at the laundromat nearby but we air dried everything and it worked just fine). Lovely lovely time here!

Cozy, private, safe and unique! We loved staying in Michel's place, and what a wonderful host he is! Small touches of style here and there make this a very interesting and funky spot to stay. Exceptionally clean, easy to find, and fantastic communication made this an ace experience. Michel was super-friendly, assisted us upon arrival with getting settled in the apartment, and left some basic groceries that were so helpful to us weary travelers. We felt very much at home, and the neighborhood is a great base for exploring beautiful Paris. Michel is such a lovely person, and this is a highly recommended listing!

The apartment is ideally located to explore Paris and Michel is a fantastic host. We especially enjoyed walking to wine bars and the farmers market, proximity to the 1/5/8 lines, and Michel's hospitality.

Michel is a stud. He gladly walked us around his neighborhood while recommending restaurants, boulangeries, epiceries, wine caves and anything else we could think to ask for. Two metro lines are within a 3-8 minute walk from the street entrance making it very easy and cheap to get anywhere really. Shower was a little difficult to use because of head angle, but not a huge deal for us. Also if you're tall you may have a few bumps and bruises if you're not careful. But my wife and I enjoyed the loft where the bed is located, and the whole apartment is beautifully decorated. Also there is a washing machine, but no dryer. Chez Paul, L'ebaouchoir and East Mamma were some of our favorite local eateries, and Le Baron Rouge was an incredible (and super cheap) wine cave with some delicious selections. If you're looking for warm hospitality in a charming place away from the super touristy areas and possibly a free walking tour of your perfect neighborhood (if you ask nicely) with insider knowledge ... stay here!

Michel's place was in a central location; minutes away from the metro, and it was very convenient to travel to all major sites. The place was lovely and his profile pictures are accurate. Michel gave me a tour of the neighborhood when I checked in which was very helpful. He's very friendly and I appreciate his hosting.

Hi everyone,

I'm really enjoying sharing my knowledge and experiences of the city through the many wonderful people who've stayed as my guests through Airbnb - what a fantastic concept it is. I take much pleasure in making sure anyone staying with me has a great experience and stay and have a very professional approach in the preparation and presentation of my apartment.

This apartment used to be my home in the city, and although I've moved now, I've taken a lot of care and paid a lot of attention in re-decorating and equipping it to make it the perfect pad from which to explore Paris...
If you've got any questions or need any help while planning your trip to Paris I'd be very happy to lend a helping hand.

Looking forward to hopefully meeting you and welcoming you to Paris...!
