About this listing
The countryside quietness in the heart of Paris !
Large duplex apartment with terrace, recently remodeled, with all the charm of romantic Paris in a secluded pedestrian passage in Le Marais, close from the Pompidou Centre and Montorgueil area.
Located in the historical heart of Paris, in a very quiet pedestrian passage from the XVIIIth century. The passage opens on one side on Le Marais and all its historical highlights and on the other side on the trendy pedestrian area of Montorgueil, where you can find many cafes, restaurants and a traditional farmer's market.
The location is outstanding for it's convenience (everything can be reached by foot) and the quietness of the passage. We only use bicycle as there are now many lanes dedicated to bikes in Paris.
For sightseeing it is ideally situated : there are many metro stations at less than 3 minutes walk connecting to all areas of Paris and by foot you can reach Notre Dame in less than 15 minutes, the Pompidou art Centre in 3 minutes, the Place des Vosges in 15 minutes, the Louvre in 15 minutes and many more !
The neighborhood is a mix of little streets, cafés and shops which are exemplary of Paris charm.
Within walking distance, you can enjoy highlights such as the Pompidou Centre, the Place des Victoires, Palais Royal, Louvre, Notre Dame...
Not less than 4 metro stations are within 3 minutes walk. The fast link (RER) direct from the airport is 6 minutes away.
Smoking and party are not allowed in the apartment.
This residence is very quiet and for the comfort of everyone, we expect our guests to be respecting those rules.
The Loft is in a great location accessible easily to all the major attractions. We loved the peace and quiet after the hurly burly of the day. Everything we needed was in the apartment and it was clean and modern. Christine was readily available when we needed to ask her something. Highly recommend. Must be aware that Flash the cat is in residence and needs feeding etc. Cheryl
Our recent visit to Paris was wonderful and the apartment was a key part. We thoroughly enjoyed the space, hot water, great water pressure, and especially the location. Within a 15 minute walk one can be at all the key sites; there a plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and metro stops in the area. The apartment is very safe and has gates on either side of the "passage" which makes it a quiet place in the middle of a busy city. We would certainly stay there again.
Our host, and her housekeeper, were very gracious when we arrived 2 hours earlier than expected and we certainly appreciated that...!
Lovely, spacious apartment in wonderful neighborhood. Exactly as described. The house keeper was very friendly and helpful.
Christine's apartment is beautifully decorated, with new finishes, which is accurately represented in the photo's. There was ample space for our family, with good sized rooms and comfortable living areas. There was a also a very good supply of towels, cleaning products and some basics to get us started. Christine was responsive to our questions and replied to emails quickly. Thanks Christine!
My husband, our two sons aged 6 and 8 and I found it brilliant for our 5 day stay. It was spacious and had several interesting spaces to relax in with loads of books and sculptures. A real oasis in the city, highly recommended.
Christine's loft was perfect! It really felt as if we were locals living the Parisian life. So much better than a hotel where you forget what city you're in. Open and airy, even during a heat wave, we were comfortable and felt at home. It was lovely to come back after a full day and really stretch out. The location is within walking distance of almost everything and couldn't have been more beautiful. Thank you, Christine!
We had a wonderful stay in Paris at Christines apartment. The location is fantastic; we easily walked to the Louvre, Notre Dame and along the Seine. At Christine's recommendation we used bicycles to explore a bit further ( although I was happy that the traffic was quiet on New Years Day)
The Apartment is really well furnished & we enjoyed the company of Flash the cat. The handbook/manual proved both thorough and useful.
Thank you Christine, I would happily recommend your apartment to friends!
About the Host, Christine
After a career as an internal audit for large companies, I decided to move to the renovation of flats in the heart of Paris, the major one being the one where I live with my son Paul, aged 15.
As you will see when you live in my flat, I attach importance to details, quality of materials and fabrics, harmony of colors.
We also have a funny cat, Flash. He lives his life quite independently...as cat usually do !
