The space
Your 288sqft home includes a living room with a 43" TV, kitchen with frig, one burner cooktop and microwave, a dining bar overlooking the woods, bath, and bedroom with windows looking directly into the woods.
The bathroom has a fully tiled shower, heated floors, towel warmer, and fluffy robes as you step outside the shower.
Your deck spans the entire length of the house and overlooks the woods and mountains. Brand new hot tub (2024) is ready for you! You have a cozy seating area, a huge propane fire pit to warm your toes, and a Weber grill to cook an amazing meal to be enjoyed on the deck or at the dining bar. A hammock is hanging off the deck ready for you to relax in after a fun day in Asheville. Reminder: please keep the cover on the hot tub when not in use. Leaving the cover off for extended periods will cause the temperature to drop.
A spare propane tank is available under the deck in case the fire table or grill run out of propane during your visit.
You will see a Ring camera pointing at the gravel parking area.
The home is very modern with white walls, exposed wood beam and great decor! Living area has a two person comfy couch with fuzzy couch throws for those chilly winter nights. Your 43" rotating TV completes the setting for a relaxing night at home.
Your queen size bed has one set of firm large pillows and one set of smaller soft pillows to complete the equation for a restful and relaxing night. New CH Charme House Chiropractor recommended Bamboo-Charcoal Memory Foam mattress May 2025.

You'll see two other homes as you drive to your tiny house. We love supporting our local community and we have a long term renter on a separate portion of the 5 acre property with his own driveway. Rob has been with us for 18 years now! Occasionally you may hear him play his guitar. There's another tiny house vacation rental about 1/4 mile past your house. The road to your place is a Two Way road so please take it slow in case another car is on it's way in or out.
The safety of our guests always comes first. Occasionally, we have significant snowstorms and our roads can be treacherous. Dan will watch the weather closely for our winter guests. With your input, we will make joint decisions about your safety driving to your home during those rare winter storms. If the power goes out during your stay, you will not have water. We have a propane heater to keep you warm, and we have a few gallons of water that you can use. Of course, you will be reimbursed for any unused nights if you choose to leave during an extended (more than 8 hours) power outage. You will need to park across the road if there's any snow on the drive. The walk down to your tiny house is about 200 yards. For our other property on top of the mountain, some of our more memorable experiences were with guests who stayed during an 18" snowstorm. They loved it!
Gentle reminder that no type of smoking is allowed, and we don't allow pets. There will be a $325 ionizer fee if either occur. Thanks for being considerate of our home!
We're in the middle of nature, so be prepared to share space with deer, bear, snakes, coyotes, bugs, and fireflies.
All linens are provided- we have thought of everything for your stay - but of course let us know if you need anything at all to complete your amazing stay in our beautiful mountains.
Guest access
You have private access to the entire tiny house and the outside area.
Your space only allows 2 people, and additional guests cannot be accommodated at any time during your visit. We have gravel parking spots for two cars.
For our winter guests: snow is absolutely gorgeous in Asheville! Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by snow is an incredible and relaxing experience. However, if it does snow during your stay, you will NOT be able to drive in and out. We have a parking spot across the road for you. You'll walk approximately 200 yards to get to your home. We don't have 4WD vehicles, and you won't need one either.
Occasionally we have snow and ice that causes power to go out, and our well pump will not work without power, so you won't have water. If this happens for a prolonged period of time, you're welcome to leave with a refund for any unused nights. Of course, let us know if either of these items would be a problem for you during our rare snowstorms, and we'll work with you.
For those who might not be used to driving in our beautiful mountains, the best way to climb out of the driveway is to put your vehicle in the lowest gear possible, gain a bit of momentum, then stay at that same momentum until you reach the paved flat spot at the top of the driveway.
Other things to note
You have AT&T 300 Mbps Fiber Internet. Working at the bar while looking at the view can relieve work stress! You have a smart TV and we provide Hulu and Netflix logins.
We have a relative with severe allergies to smoke and pets, so unfortunately, we'll charge an ionization fee if evidence of either is found anywhere on the property. Thanks for your understanding!
