Other Things to Note
There is a new bed in the house since October 2015. The width of the bed is 134 cm. The rental is for one person only. Please note that the house is not available from end of November till spring time (depending on the weather) because the heating system is not powerful enough to cope with temperatures around or below zero degrees centigrade. If you make a reservation in April, May and after the 1st October, please give me a notice of at least 24 hours. It takes some time for the underfloor heating to warm up the house. In April, May, October and November the temperature in the house is around 17-19 degrees when the guest arrives. This is the max. capacity of the underfloor heating. There is an electric radiator in the house which is able to increase the temperature to 20-21 degrees in about 30-60 minutes. The radiator will be switched on when the guest arrives if the guest wishes so. Please do not expect higher temperatures in those months.
There is no coffee machine, no toaster, no blender, no electric knife, no TV, and no micro wave oven in the house. Please do not complain when you don't find such gadgets.
The fridge will be switched on when the guest arrives if the guest wishes so. This is the normal procedure unless the fridge has been switched on for another guest the same day or the day before. In our house we try to keep our electricity bill and the CO2 emissions as low as possible. It takes about an hour for the fridge to reach 5-6 degrees.
Utensils in the kitchen are basic but sufficient to prepare an ordinary meal. You will find plates, forks, knives, spoons, wine glasses, ordinary glasses, a kettle, cups. pots and a frying pan. Please do not expect a gourmet kitchen.
Most of the litter you leave behind will be recycled. Please leave bottles, cans, plastic and paper on the kitchen table when you leave. Only paper and some plastic, which has been in contact with food, cannot be recycled.
The toilet seat will be disinfected with alcohol every time a visitor has checked out.
No pets allowed. No visitors at night. No smoking in the house. Please do not deposit bottles and cans in the outdoor bin.
