Our week's stay at Il Palio in Siena was truly wonderful. The apartment was all we could wish for, kept spotless and the outside areas a great place to enjoy a drink and meal. The car space facility was an extra bonus. Proximity to Siena itself was very good, you could walk it or take the bus at the door step. The hosts were fantastic, with all our needs promptly and efficiently catered for. Can definitely recommend a stay at the Villa Il Borghetto to anyone.
What a wonderful way to experience Siena! We were welcomed by a gracious, smiling, and helpful Cristina. After she showed us around, we were able to convince her to join us for wine. We sat and chatted while enjoying beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. Cristina, and her brother Paolo, were absolutely fantastic hosts. We are already planning a return next year!
Barbara , Graeme and I can't speak highly enough of our stay here - we loved it. Cristina and her brother Claudio were fantastic hosts and we so enjoyed meeting their parents, learning the history of the building in which we stayed and about their family.
The apartment was immaculately clean, very comfortable, and the view from our windows will long be (website hidden) was lovely to come back in the evening , sit out in the beautiful garden and sip a local wine.
Bus transport into the walled town was frequent with the bus stop just outside the door. The alternative was a rather beautiful 2 km walk.
Thank you for a memorable stay
We loved our stay in Siena @ the Il Palio aparttment. Cristina, Claudio and the whole family were fantastic hosts. We loved the location just outside Siena with a view of the hills from our kitchen window that will long be remembered. The #54 bus made it possible to have a great time without a car, including shopping for food and wine close to the bus stop. The country walk into the kitchen gardens south of the Piazza d. Mercato was a highlight of the trip. Many thanks for a wonderful time in the beautiful town of Siena.
Staying at this 2-bedroom apartment was awesome! Cristina is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful in recommending and assisting with reservations and activities. Apartment was immaculately clean and exactly as described.
Location is about a 20 minute walk into the city (1 mile uphill). Cristina provided us with bus tickets to take the bus into the main center the first time. We usually ended up just walking back in the evening though as it is downhill and a pleasant walk.
We cannot say enough great things about the fantastic stay we had in Siena . Cristina and her family were so welcoming, attentive to our every needs, and available to help whenever we had questions. Claudio, Cristina's brother, picked us up at the bus stop when we arrived from Florence, and brought us back when we left. The apartment was exquisite. Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, great views from the windows, light and big.
We would certainly go back again, and highly recommend this wonderful place for a visit to Siena.
Set on a hillside road leading into the heart of Sienna, the apartment has lovely views over the valley. Easy access into town with a bus stop right on the front door or a short drive to the parking area near Il Campo, it is ideal for access to the town. Also a short drive to supermarkets and amenities and very close to the autostrada. Christina & her brother, Claudio, were very helpful and keen to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The apartment is beautifully furnished and has all the amenities you need for your stay.
