Interaction with Guests
I interact with my guests as much as they want me to.
Brixton has become a new destination for Londoners and foreigners alike. There is so much to do with multiple clubs, the O2 Academy is always hosting an event and countless bars and restaurants you are spoilt for choice. This vibrant neighborhood is a hot spot for young professionals and perfect for someone visiting London.
Brixton Station is around the corner, the Victoria Line is very reliable and makes getting around London easy. In addition there are multiple bus stops with several bus routes.
I ask that you treat the apartment with respect and enjoy your stay as you make yourself at home. Please refrain from smoking in the apartment. Flat is cleaned before the arrival of each guest and should be left in an acceptable condition without any damages. I expect that guests to be considerate of their neighbours for the duration of their stay.
My husband and I recently stayed in Studio C in Brixton for a week and had a great time. The space looks exactly like the pictures - it is small, but that's what we were expecting. We spent most of our time out sightseeing so having a small, clean home base with a kitchenette where we could have coffee, tea and a small breakfast each morning was exactly what we wanted.
Although we weren't able to meet April in person, she was easy to communicate with and the studio was easy to find. Brixton is a very lively neighborhood with a great market and good food options - it's not centrally located, but being at the end of the Victoria line made it very easy to get pretty much anywhere we wanted to go in London (and the studio itself is a 5 minute walk from the Brixton tube station). There is a nightclub/bar close to the studio and on the weekend nights the music can be heard all night long so ear plugs are a must (we read this in another review so we were prepared and it didn't impact our trip negatively).
Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. Thanks, April!
We only spoke to April on the phone but she was very helpful and all the arrangements we made with her worked
The unit was smaller than we expected but it was clean, tidy, well equiped and very conveniently situated. We would happily stay their again -but perhaps not on a Saturday. The nearby clubs are a bit noisy.
My boyfriend and I loved staying in April's flat. It is a TINY studio, but it was as advertised. And we only used our flat to sleep so the size wasn't an issue.
The flat is extremely convenient to the subway/tube/underground. It is about a 5 minute walk to the Brixton station, which takes you wherever you want to go in London proper, with one line change at most.
Brixton definitely isn't "posh" but it is up and coming and hip. I never felt unsafe there.
The check in and check out process could not have been easier and April responded to all of my questions immediately.
The only drawback to this flat is that a club is very close by and plays loud music until about 4 am on Fridays and Saturdays. If you are a light sleeper this will keep you up. The other nights of the week it is extremely peaceful.
April was very professional and easy to communicate with. The apartment was pretty tiny, smaller even than the photos look. But still nice and clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was a little "interesting" - more international than a traditional London feel; you'll hear lots of non-english speakers around. But it didn't feel unsafe, and is an easy place to get to/from for your night's rest.
Excellent. 5 star and brilliant. From my father who has stayed and travelled around the world. Thank you April!
The studio apartment was perfect, clean and cosy in the centre of Brixton. Easy to get the keys, and April was very helpful answering any questions we had. We had a wonderful time there. Our biggest recommendations!!!

About the Host, April
I am organising an international Supper Club called Savour Jamaica as I am passionate about my country and food. I have lived in England, Jamaica and France but I love living in Brooklyn because the people are friendly and there are countless eateries. I love to cook (you can check out my blog, The Yummy Truth), travel and read memoirs. Other than Jamaican cuisine I have a soft spot for pasta and foie gras, my favourite wine is a German Riesling, so if you need any advice on where to dine in Brooklyn or Manhattan I'd be happy to help.
I have travelled quite extensively and I appreciate that meeting great people, seeing interesting things that you can't find in tourist books and eating great food contributes to a memorable holiday, which I know you can experience while staying at my home.
I believe everything happens for a reason and I look forward to helping you enjoy your stay when you next visit NYC or London or Kingston!
