Great value for the price. Great location for access to public transit. Cute interior but smaller than we expected. Comfy for 1-2 people. We enjoyed our stay.

PROS: clean, comfy, about a one minute walk to the metro, it's right off of the Victoria line which brings you to everything. CONS: right off the bat we realized that the apartment was off of one of the busiest streets in Brixton-- we were not warned about this. We had been traveling for about 2.5 months before hand so we had four large suitcases on us; the car wasn't able to stop on this busy street, so we had to drag our four large suitcases three blocks to the flat. Then we were greeted by a small narrow staircase (it took us 30 minutes to lug our four suitcases up the stairs). The woman wasn't done cleaning the studio so she kept knocking on the door to return things (it was already almost 2pm at this point). We asked april a while back what time we could check in and she said no one was staying there before us so we could check in whenever, so we bought a plane ticket that brought us into London at 7AM. But a few days before we came, she ended up telling us that we couldn't check in until 1... So we had to sit at the airport for six hours. We stayed in London for two weeks and she left us one trash bag and one roll of toilet paper so we had to do a full marketing. She never greeted us or gave us her phone number, so if we had to contact her it had to be through the AirBnB app so it would sometimes take her a while to respond. We also felt a bit scared walking home from the metro at night, as we stayed out late quite a bit (Brixton has a lot of drunk, loud, and homeless people wandering around day and night). She gave us one key but we felt it'd be safer to have an extra set, but she said I'd have to go to her restaurant to get it. It was a bit inconvenient, so she did end up making it work by asking the maid to leave a key for us the next day. Also! If you're planning on doing laundry, just a warning: it takes about four hours or more for one load. The "normal" setting on the washing machine is a 3 hour cycle, the "gentle" is 1.5 hours, and we had to run the dryer three times for each load to dry. The washing machine also leaks I think because the carpet around it is soaking wet, I know because I bent down on my knees to load the washing machine and ended with such soaked knees I had to change my jeans! Honestly I know there are many complaints but if I had carried one small suitcase and was only in London for about four days (like most people do, I know we were in London for quite a long time) her apartment would have bedb a...

Amazing flat and super central to pretty much everything in Brixton (about 3 mins walk from the tube). The place was clean and looked exactly like the pictures and April was easy to get hold of if needed. As warned there was live music audible but it will only bother you if you are a light sleeper or don't like jazz music. Deffo recommended ! Prepare to eat a lot of spectacular food in Brixton !

I have just recently opened my first cafe and rum bar called 'Three Little Birds' in Brixton, London. Three Little Birds is the spot to indulge in the best of all things Jamaican. Those of you visiting London, it'd be a great place for you to visit, if you fancy a taste of Jamaica!. I decided to open this café, boutique and rum bar to celebrate my island’s cuisine, music and talent, whilst giving guests the opportunity to escape as they journey to the Caribbean. I am passionate about my country and food.

I have lived in England, Jamaica and France. I love to cook (you can check out my blog, The Yummy Truth), travel and read memoirs. Other than Jamaican cuisine I have a soft spot for pasta and foie gras, my favourite wine is a German Riesling..

I have travelled quite extensively and I appreciate that meeting great people, seeing interesting things that you can't find in tourist books and eating great food contributes to a memorable holiday, which I know you can experience while staying at my home.

I believe everything happens for a reason and I look forward to helping you enjoy your stay when you next visit London or NYC!
