Overall a decent value and located close to underground station. The overall noise level from nearby street and night clubs is very loud, so if you aren't a night owl yourself, may cause issues. Are multiple restaurants and stores nearby for convenience.

This place in Brixton was great for a couple of days--close to the tube, market, loads of restaurant and bars, but do keep in mind that when April notes the noise levels from the club next door, she's not joking around! It's apparently a really popular club, and the bass may actually blare until 5am (which it did on the Saturday night of our stay, into the wee hours of Easter morning)...This flat may be ideal for folks looking for a fun, lively nightlife experience for sure as the other bars and clubs along this street were also hopping throughout our stay. The flat is not more than a 5 minute walk from the Brixton tube station--simply cut through Electric Avenue! :) Great food options within mere steps from the flat, including her own restaurant below. (It was yummy!) We didn't get to meet April, but she was responsive when we had questions about a continuously running toilet, which we greatly appreciated. Additionally, April was clear and succinct with her check-in instructions and the place was clean, cute and a great base-camp for exploring London. Do check the tube schedules if traveling on a holiday weekend! The Victoria line shut down for Easter while we were visiting. Thankfully the Stockwell stop of the Northern Line wasn't terribly far (about 20 minutes, if you're in a pinch) but definitely wished we had looked into this before our arrival. Cheers, April!

Maybe not the best place for your first stay in London, but if you are familiar with city/transportation it is a great find IMO. I love Brixton, it's not touristy, with great bars/restaurants; it's authentic, hip and safe. The nearby market off Electric Avenue is one of my favorites. Best for a single or very cozy couple due to size of bed.

The apartment was perfect for my needs, having a place near the tube was perfect. Being right in Brixton Market was an unexpected highlight, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was great. Perfect location, spotless clean and good value. As April will let you know when you go to book, the club next door is extremely loud, so make sure you're there for a big weekend and you'll be sweet!

I have just recently opened my first cafe and rum bar called 'Three Little Birds' in Brixton, London. Three Little Birds is the spot to indulge in the best of all things Jamaican. Those of you visiting London, it'd be a great place for you to visit, if you fancy a taste of Jamaica!. I decided to open this café, boutique and rum bar to celebrate my island’s cuisine, music and talent, whilst giving guests the opportunity to escape as they journey to the Caribbean. I am passionate about my country and food.

I have lived in England, Jamaica and France. I love to cook (you can check out my blog, The Yummy Truth), travel and read memoirs. Other than Jamaican cuisine I have a soft spot for pasta and foie gras, my favourite wine is a German Riesling..

I have travelled quite extensively and I appreciate that meeting great people, seeing interesting things that you can't find in tourist books and eating great food contributes to a memorable holiday, which I know you can experience while staying at my home.

I believe everything happens for a reason and I look forward to helping you enjoy your stay when you next visit London or NYC!
