I ask that you treat the apartment with respect and enjoy your stay as you make yourself at home. Please refrain from smoking in the apartment. Flat is cleaned before the arrival of each guest and should be left in an acceptable condition without any damages. I expect that guests to be considerate of their neighbours for the duration of their stay.
My girlfriend and I had a great stay at April's Studio! April was a great hostess. Unfortunatly there is a disco club in the building so the noise can be disturbing but we are used to it so it was not really a problem for us.
Fantastic little studio, lovely attention to detail, great location and perfect communication with April. A Perfect experience.
April was unable to meet us so we met April's sister Denise at the shop next door to the apartment, she showed us into the flat. The fllat was very modern and the perfect size for me and my boyfriend. However, the flat was situated next door to a nightclub, the noise level was unacceptable and as it was London they were open from 11pm till 9am both Friday and Saturday. I was able to sleep through it but it kept my boyfriend up most of the night.
The first night we were there we had no water but this was due to a burst water main in the street outside. It was back on the next morning. One downside was that they had only put one roll of toilet paper in and we had to buy our own when it ran out.
When we left we could leave our luggage down in Denise's shop until our train time which was great for us.
As for the area, we loved Brixton. It has lots of restaurant and cafes on your door step. It is always buzzing at any time of day.
We had a good time in London but the flat could be improved, especially as it isn't cheap.
April is a fantastic host. The room was squeaky-clean. There was no problem with communication, check in and check out. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay at April's place in Brixton. We absolutely loved the area. The studio was just a 2 minute walk from the subway and also very close to good restaurants and the cinema.
The studio was small but convenient and very clean. We'll definately go back there if we go to Brixton again.
Very lovely and clean studio. But the neighborhood was too noisy during the night. Just if your are sensible it would be difficult to sleep. I enjoyed my stay.
We stayed in Aprils apartment for two months while in between places. April was a great host, very friendly and helpful when we had any questions!
Would definitely recommend this place, it is modern and right next door to the Brixton markets!

I am organising an international Supper Club called Savour Jamaica as I am passionate about my country and food. I have lived in England, Jamaica and France but I love living in Brooklyn because the people are friendly and there are countless eateries. I love to cook (you can check out my blog, The Yummy Truth), travel and read memoirs. Other than Jamaican cuisine I have a soft spot for pasta and foie gras, my favourite wine is a German Riesling, so if you need any advice on where to dine in Brooklyn or Manhattan I'd be happy to help.
I have travelled quite extensively and I appreciate that meeting great people, seeing interesting things that you can't find in tourist books and eating great food contributes to a memorable holiday, which I know you can experience while staying at my home.
I believe everything happens for a reason and I look forward to helping you enjoy your stay when you next visit NYC or London or Kingston!
