The pictures are real. The place is in the center of Medina, close to the main square. May be difficult to find alone, however the host has not problem to pick you up in the main square. Internet works only in the lobby, which is amazing in this riad, and where is always possible take a cup of tea.
The room and the riad itself are exactly as described but far more lovely in real life than the photos can show! We arrived late in the evening and Cathy arranged for a car to pick us up and for her night guard Ali to meet us and guide us to the riad.
It is ideally located down a couple of little winding alleys bringing you into the main square within a couple of minutes walk and to the heart of the souk in the same time. Lots of restaurants nearby which Cathy gave us plenty of info and recommendations on.
It was great on an evening to be able to relax in the peace and quiet of the main room sipping freshly made mint tea. The breakfasts cooked by Mouna were delicious consisting of tea or coffee, fresh bread, yoghurt, freshly made pancakes (which differed each day!) along with sugar, jam and honey. The perfect start to the day.
I would definitely recommend this riad to stay whilst in Marrakech.
We had a great time in Marrakesh to stay in this riad.
Location is middle of medina but still very quiet and nice neighborhood.
It was very difficult to find the riad but Staffs here come to pick up us anytime, so it was no problem.
And also Cathy gave us all the informations of Marrakesh.
It helped us a lot.
We were suppose to stay 1 night before and 2 nights after a desert tour at first.
But my cousin who went to Morocco together got very bad sick (gastroenteritis), and we have to stay one night more.
Cathy and other staffs helps us a lot while I couldn’t leave her to take care of for 2 days. Called a doctor, went to a pharmacy to pick up medicines and made some foods for her.
They made me feel at home, so relieved.
I appreciate all they did for us so much.
I’m definitely going back to Cathy’s riad next time I go to Marrakesh.
Thank you Aiko for this nice comment, I have written mine about your visit to us, recommending you to other owners on Airbnb!
I shall follow your advice about fixing wifi!
I hope to come to Japan someday , and for sure when I shall come to Tokyo , I will let you know! I would be very happy to meet you there and listen your own advice about how exploring your city;
My friend and I spent two nights at the riad after a desert tour. The riad is beautiful, and the staff are all very welcoming and caring. Cathy was incredibly kind and helpful as I got very bad food poisoning from a restaurant in the Medina (lesson learned, don't eat salad in Morocco). She thankfully sent a staff member to the pharmacy for me! The riad is right in the middle of the souks, so close to everything while also being quiet. The only downside was the streets to the riad aren't very well lit. Thankfully we had someone walk us back from the restaurant after dinner, otherwise we probably would have felt more nervous about it (although Ali, one of the staff) was on call the meet us if we needed!
The room itself is cosy and nice although it lacks air conditioning so may not be the best room in the summer (and Cathy let us know there was no a/c before we booked, so no surprises).
We spent a great time at Cathy's riad. After a phone call we met Salah and he accompanied us to the riad. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, with home made jam and yogurt. The cooking class with Mouna and the visit to the market was a fantastic experience. With Cathy we visited the souk and she recommended us some shops.
Cathy and her team made our stay very comfortabel, many thanks!

About the Host, Cathy & Dany
Dany and Cathy are mother and daughter; We are both very fond of Morocco and Marrakesh where I'm (Cathy) living all year long since 2006, taking care of the Riad and my Guests personally with my team, sharing time with the guests ,giving them suggestions and good adresses to go , to visit inside Marrakesh ,the surroundings and the desert.
We both like travels, sharing experience with different people and learning about different cultures.
My House has a traditional style, because I wanted it like this, all the furniture and decoration have been made by the Marrakchi craftsmen, and I keep on buying things in the Market around the Riad.
i wish more and more people will keep on visiting Morocco and Marrakesh in the future, coming to my Riad and sharing with them my own experience which brings to me happiness, and peace.
