Waldemar was very welcoming and friendly. I arrived much later than scheduled, but he didn't mind at all and was extremely helpful.
The room is great, and the listing is 100% accurate. Shower bathroom works really well too. It's in a nice neighbourhood, with good access into the city.
Great place to stay in Brooklyn. Waldemar was welcoming and flexible. Excellent location and great value!
First time not staying in a hotel in NYC and only 3rd time in the city. The listing was accurate. The neighborhood was nice. The on the street parking was challenging! The room was clean close to a subway stop so once we got parked, we did not drive again until we left. The host was helpful and unobtrusive. My son's first trip to the city! Great base and great value!
very nice, very relaxed host (although I didnt read his instructions how to get there, which you should do :)) nice food right next door complemented the stay
Great experience. Great location and host was very nice. Will stay here again next time.
Waldemar was a wonderful host who is concerned about giving visitors their privacy. We actually became friendly and had some nice conversations. The room is spacious and comfortable, complete with a small terrace and all conveniences such as wireless Internet and cable TV. I slept very well. The apartment is welcoming and in a typical Brooklyn neighborhood with good restaurants within a couple of blocks. I particularly liked Madiba - a famous South African restaurant only 2 blocks away. Brooklyn Flea (market), a new New York institution and a must-do activity on Saturdays with lots of local vendors and food options, is also only 2 blocks away in a different direction. You can easily spend a lot of time around the apartment getting a New York experience without going to Manhattan. And yet, Manhattan was a short subway ride away from a station just a few feet away from the apt. I will definitely return.
Waldemar was most relaxed and welcoming; he seemed very unfazed and understanding when travel problems meant later than anticipated arrivals. Carried my luggage upstairs to this charming room which was cool and comfortable. As it was so hot, I did not avail myself of the little outdoor space, but it was pleasant to have the door open to the balcony allowing sunlight in. Having an en suite bathroom was definitely a plus; a relaxing place to shower and tidy up at the end of each day. Neighborhood is great - a terrific 24hr. supermarket and an excellent coffee shop right on the doorstep; I chatted with people in both - very friendly.
