Sunny, master bedroom with own private bathroom in brownstone duplex in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. There is also a private deck adjoining the bedroom. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the bathroom has a clawfoot tub and double, tempered glass sinks. The bedroom is 15'x17'and air-conditioned. Wi-Fi is available from anywhere within the apartment. There is a chef's kitchen downstairs that is shared with two other people. There is a French, gourmet deli on the corner which is kind of pricey but is very good. There are also many restaurants in the area, many of which are located on DeKalb Ave. G train to Clinton/Washington, two blocks away. Forty minutes from Central Park and Times Sq., 30 minutes from Greenwich Village/NYU, a 20-minute walk to Brooklyn Museum or Brooklyn Academy of Music and a 25-minute walk to Prospect Park. Very close to Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Barclays Stadium and Pratt. Also, the house is along the route of the NYC Marathon. Parking is available on the street or in lots in the neighborhood.
This was a perfect location for us to visit our daughter in Brooklyn. Waldemar was pleasant. We had different schedules so we did not see each other a lot. There are great restaurants in the area. We recommend Hoja Santas for dinner and Urban Vintage for brunch.
I stayed in the orange room which strangely only had a rack for clothing for my use and no drawers although there were four huge wardrobes but all filled with host clothing I presumed. The bathroom was modern and had continuous hot water and plenty of towels just three steps up into the bathroom. The double bed was comfortable although having to put my arm between the headboard and the mattress was not the best idea in the world to switch on a lamp via an extension lying on the floor, it also meant that my pillows were slipping through the hole onto the floor during the night. However the pillows were nice and soft and the sheets were clean and soft on my face. Host was helpful in giving me directions around the train systems, privacy and offering to order me a taxi for the airport. He is a very nice respectful host.
Just to correct a few misconceptions on Janie's part. Firstly, I have a queen-sized bed. Secondly, there are drawers for putting away clothes and had Janie asked, I would have pointed her to them. The switch for my torchiere lamps have been put on a power-strip because many of my European guests like Janie, appear to have problems with an American lamp-switch.
Wonderful experience staying in this Brooklyn airbnb while visiting our daughter who recently moved to Clinton Hill. . Clean, welcoming and convenient to all neighborhoods. Waldemar couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. I recommend this air bnb.
Convenient location. Easy street parking. Great coffee shop on corner. If mobility issues, consider a different location-narrow stairway to bedroom; 3 stairs to private bathroom-no railing.
Waldemar was incredibly friendly and helpful with me. His location was as described. There were issues with the weather (snow), that caused some issues with the water, but he was more than accommodating.
Waldemar was so nice and so accommodating and his home is stunning and clean. With a price that surpasses local hotel chains, an in room patio and bathroom nestled within a spectacular brownstone you couldn't ask for anything more.
So we were visiting during the end of December, early Jan. The apartment was great, very clean and large with a private bathroom, lovely. However, due to the cold the pipes froze so we had to use the bathroom downstairs.
The early check out complicated things a bit since we had a later flight, but otherwise perfect!
Waldemar is such a great boy, lo recomiendo por su seriedad a la hora de cumplir con lo pactado y lo recomiendo ampliamente ya que volvería a parar en su dpto.
My husband and I stayed at Waldemar's in December when we were in town for a slew of holiday parties.
His home was absolutely cozy and smelled of vanilla and spice. (not joking) The room was large, warm and beautiful with a large bathroom perfect for getting ready for a night out on the town.
Waldemar was kind and helpful, and made sure we were comfortable.
Near by, a sweet little cafe, great for a morning coffee or quick bite, and a block away from the G train.
It was a great location and with only a 30 min commute to the city.
I would highly recommend staying at Waldemar's and I believe we will do so again in the future!
Nice stay.. very quiet area..easy subway access.. cool place..Waldemar was a great host.. cordial and helpful. Having our own bathroom was a plus. Thanks!
