Yoshiko and Kaji are such great hosts. They welcomed us into their apartment, took the time to advise us on our trip to Tokyo and we even spent time with them (restaurant, visit the fish market). Their apartment is very well located, 5 minutes from the metro (line serving the main tourist attractions of Tokyo), which is much appreciated! During an upcoming trip to Tokyo, we are sure to contact them again!

Thank you for every thing Yoshiko and Kaji !

  • Yoshiko and Kaji were very very warm welcome for us. Yoshiko help us to plan to travel around Tokyo which good recommend about interesting places to visit. Also, she gives us a lot of beautiful souvenier, Kim-mo-no dress, Sakura plates. We love it! If I have chance to travel in Japan again, I will go to stay there again. Sure!

  • Yoshiko was the best host I could possibly have dreamed up for my first airbnb experience, let alone travelling solo for the first time. She set up an itinerary for my lone day in Tokyo (which happened to be a holiday at that!) so that I could get the most I wanted out of my 42 hour layover in japan. The bedroom was great, her place close to a train station & with great directions from the airport. I would absolutely stay with her again!

  • Yoshiko and Kaji were the most amazing hosts. Even if the location is a bit farther away from central Tokyo, the place is a gem. The room is comfortable with lots of windows and natural sunlight. The hosts of this airbnb had great suggestions on what to do, invited us to a concert and even made us a special breakfast! You can tell that they truly enjoy hosting people in their apartment and the cultural exchange.

  • I have stayed at many Airbnb places before and Yoshiko has been the best host I have ever met. Yoshiko and her husband Kaji took care of me as if I was a family member.
On the night of my arrival Yoshiko made dinner. She made breakfast every morning, gave me detailed travel tips and Yoshiko and Kaji even took me out to a concert one night and a day trip another day. Absolutely fantastic!
The apartment is very clean and the room is really nice. On a clear day I could see mount Fuji from my bed. The apartment is a bit far away from downtown, but the train connection is very frequent and it didn't take very long to get to all the major sights.
I can totally recommend anyone to stay with Yoshiko & Kaji.

  • What an experience I could spend in Tokyo with Hitomi and Kaji ! Not only we had a wonderful time together and other guests, but also enjoyed amazing dinners and a breathtaking visit of Harajuku, Shibuya, Asakusa, ... all the best ! Most warming welcome in Kanto, and I look forward to come back ! Thank you Yoshiko and Kaji !

  • Yoshiko and Kaji are great hosts. Yoshiko even made me breakfast every morning! The location is slightly out of the city center, but all attractions are easily and quickly accessible by subway - which is just half a block away. I even had a view of Mount Fuji from my bedroom! Yoshiko is very friendly and sociable, and she introduced me to all sorts of interesting people. We went out for a great bike ride in her neighborhood as well. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

  • If you're new to Tokyo but want to feel like you're staying with your best friend... then come to this place. Yoshiko is a truly awesome host and I cannot imagine anyone taking care of me better. She will make sure that you feel welcome and pampered. Basically she's going to help you have a great time.

I didn't see Kaji all that much but he helped me out a lot on my first evening, planning my visits and looking up places for me. Sooo nice.

Their apartment might not be in the most central location but the subway station is mere minutes away with an excellent connection downtown.

  • Staying Yoshiko and Kaji's place was so unique, and such a marvelous experience.

I am also an Airbnb host and I don't think it is that difficult to be a good host. But who else can be great host like them? Yoshiko and Kaji are spending all the energy to make guests happy!! There are numerous apartments which offers you comfortable bed and good location in Tokyo, but no other place gives you such a heartwarming experience. I could even feel their philosophy to treat their guests well.

All in all, it was one of my best decision to have chosen their place. Best of the Best!

  • I only stayed here for one night but wished I could have stayed here for longer. Yoshiko is such a wonderful host, very warm and welcoming, she prepared dinner and breakfast for me and some other travelers. She arranged a pottery class on my last day in Tokyo and also met some of her friends for Japanese tapas. Umejima is a little far from places like Shibuya and Harajuku but its quite near to Asakusa and Ueno. Despite being further away I enjoyed seeing the suburbs of Tokyo and I didn't mind the commute. If I ever come back to Tokyo I would definitely stay here again.
