About This Listing
Awake to the delicious aroma of freshly roasted coffee and organic breads and pastries on a South Pacific paradise; the beautiful island of Rarotonga.
Located between the stunning beaches of Muri and the bustling town of Avarua, this Mediterranean styled apartment overlooks the lagoon - so you can lie in bed and watch the sun rise out of the blue sparkling sea as it starts each new day!
The self-contained apartment shares the property with a coffee roastery, an organic bakery and the friendly owners home, which has featured in NZ House & Garden Magazine and TV show. (See website; (website hidden) /TVArticles/AftertheStorm.asp)
While you munch into wonderful freshly baked organic breads, croissants and pastries produced by the organic bakery, you’ll also get to meet the real locals as they drop into the roastery for their morning coffee and a chat before heading off to work.

Terrific experience at the Coffeehouse. We were made to feel so welcome by Neil and Janet (and their family). Insiders' tips, fresh coffee and pastries and introductions to locals made the stay in Raro better than ever.
Couldn't speak more highly of the accommodation. It was great. You will, however, need some sort of transport to get around, but once that is sorted, you are flying.
The Coffeehouse is a beautiful property and Neil is a gracious host, allowing us to check-in early and check-out late to suit our itinerary. We enjoyed local coffee every morning and delicious croissants one morning (every morning would have been nice). Please note the beach is not swimmable and we recommend you have wheels during your stay to explore the not-so-close parts of the island (even bicycles on the property would be nice).
Neil and Janet are great hosts and the morning coffee and croissants a highlight. Good chance to catch up with locals and plan the day. We loved the apartment and found the location halfway between Muri and Avaroa ideal. Buses are handy but we found having a car the best option. Highly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Coffeehouse. Neil,Janet,Ruben and Victoria were all so friendly and generous with their knowledge of the island that we discovered places we never would have seen without them. In the morning, the sunrise, the smell of bread baking, fresh croissants, fantastic coffee and conversations were a great way to start the day. Renting a scooter was fun and made it easy to get around to amazing swimming beaches where the snorkeling was great. Traveling the back roads we got to see how the islanders live. Such gorgeous flowers, the colorful clotheslines, the goats and chickens. Thank you, Neil and family for making our stay on Rarotonga such a delight!
The house is spaciaous and very nice decorated. The Coffee in the morning is delicous. Just the beach is not good for swimming, it is rocky and shallow.
We can't thank the Dearloves enough for a truly relaxing holiday. Such a treat to have fresh croissants & coffee at your doorstep every morning. Amazing, thank you!
Neil and Janet were the perfect hosts. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful stay in Rarotonga. Superb coffee to start the day and an excellent place to stay. Cannot recommend more highly.
