Awake to the delicious aroma of freshly roasted coffee and organic breads and pastries on a South Pacific paradise; the beautiful island of Rarotonga.
Located between the stunning beaches of Muri and the bustling town of Avarua, this Mediterranean styled apartment overlooks the lagoon - so you can lie in bed and watch the sun rise out of the blue sparkling sea as it starts each new day!
The self-contained apartment shares the property with a coffee roastery, an organic bakery and the friendly owners home, which has featured in NZ House & Garden Magazine and TV show. (See website; (website hidden) /TVArticles/AftertheStorm.asp)
While you munch into wonderful freshly baked organic breads, croissants and pastries produced by the organic bakery, you’ll also get to meet the real locals as they drop into the roastery for their morning coffee and a chat before heading off to work.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Coffeehouse. Neil,Janet,Ruben and Victoria were all so friendly and generous with their knowledge of the island that we discovered places we never would have seen without them. In the morning, the sunrise, the smell of bread baking, fresh croissants, fantastic coffee and conversations were a great way to start the day. Renting a scooter was fun and made it easy to get around to amazing swimming beaches where the snorkeling was great. Traveling the back roads we got to see how the islanders live. Such gorgeous flowers, the colorful clotheslines, the goats and chickens. Thank you, Neil and family for making our stay on Rarotonga such a delight!
The house is spaciaous and very nice decorated. The Coffee in the morning is delicous. Just the beach is not good for swimming, it is rocky and shallow.
Coffeehouse is a gem on one of the of the most beautiful islands on earth. It's a fully equipped cottage with great kitchen and bathroom. The air smells like ocean, coffee, flowers, and baking bread. There's a constant ocean breeze coming through the French doors of the second floor bedroom. The beds are comfortable and the house is very clean. There's a balcony and lovely ground level patio. Neil and his wife served free espresso, brought some amazing croissants to us in the morning and arranged for our airport shuttle. They were very friendly and helpful but respectful of our privacy. I highly recommend this place.
We can't thank the Dearloves enough for a truly relaxing holiday. Such a treat to have fresh croissants & coffee at your doorstep every morning. Amazing, thank you!
Neil and Janet were the perfect hosts. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful stay in Rarotonga. Superb coffee to start the day and an excellent place to stay. Cannot recommend more highly.
My wife and I stayed at the coffee house for a week. Neil and his wife and family where absolutely fantastic. I really could not say enough about there generosity and friendliness. The coffee brewed each morning and drank around the table with the locals made the Rarotonga experience all that much more enjoyable. Finished of with lovely croissants and bread made onsite by his son.
The house it's self was spacious , very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. There is a great outside area and you are right on the beach. Airport pick up and drop off was all taken care. We hired a scoota to get around however muri beach is only 3km away and a 35 min walk.
There is a buses outside the door.
Should we ever return to Rarotonga we would love to stay here again just longer next time.
This place was great. Plenty of space, great breezes straight off the ocean, and coffee and croissants in the morning. If you like watching the sunrise, you can walk out the back door, pretty much straight down on to the beach, and there it is, right there.
If you like exploring the life of a coral reef, at low tide there's a lovely little micro-lagoon right by the house with all sorts of fish, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, and so forth. A short walk out into the ocean (wear reef shoes!) and you can see even more fish, starfish, sea urchins, and, well, I could go on and on. :)
Neil and Janet are great people, very knowledgeable about what's what and where to go on the island.
When my wife and I return to Rarotonga, we're definitely going to stay here again.
