The reservation was canceled 13 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Didiet and Emilie did their best to meet our request for earlier check-in and texted us as soon as the house was ready for our arrival.
The house is warm and very sunny, the interior in light colors gives perfect harmony with the overall spirit of the house.
Emilie and Didiet answered us in detail about the neighbourhood, shops, restaurants and nice places to visit and provided us with maps.
The neighbourhood is very quiet, during mid-day the bus is essentially the only vehicle passing by.
We enjoyed taking meals in the dining room adjacent the kitchen while listening to birds singing in the morning from the back yard.
In the evenings it was really romantic to dim the main lights and to have dinner with candles.
A supermarket on the next street offers everything including fresh fish caught the same morning, so we found it more convenient to take most of our meals in the house rather than going out to (website hidden). Anne's Park walking distance from the house is clean and nice to take walk in, on Saturday the center of the park is lively hosting a seasonal market.
In 10-minute driving distance, the beach across the wooden bridge and the cliff loop path in Howth are worth visiting.
We absolutely enjoyed our week of staying, Didiet and Emilie are excellent hosts.
Emilie and Didiet were very nice, they printed out important routes to and from the place where we needed to attend a Conference. They pointed out also interesting places to go to in London. They were very warm, she told me I could use the stereo to play music and to feel free to grab and read one of the many books they had. I loved our stay in their house, although it is quite far from the city center action, the bus stops almost infront of the house and leaves you pretty near as well.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was the perfect location to our functions and downtown. Dieder was exceptional in in making certain that we were well taken care of.
We loved staying at Didier & Emilie's home. We were greeted by a friend and shown around. The home itself was beautiful and airy. We loved having a garden to sit in and a little kitchen to cook in. The bus to Dublin stopped right near by and we were able to get into the city every day that we stayed there. We also loved being so close to the water and my sister and I went running down by the waterfront daily. Thank you so much, Emilie & Didier - it was a true pleasure.
