Overall a disappointing experience here. The room was nothing like the photo or as described - to say it was basic in comparison is an understatement. The house in general was quite untidy and dirty in places. The bathroom was not great either. As my first Airbnb experience I was very disappointed. I didn't meet JK but in fairness he was informative and helpful with suggestions like using Uber etc. On the whole however I cannot recommend this lodgings simply because what is advertised is not what you receive.
JK has 3 rooms. And my room different photo in airbnb. has 2 new depot in Chinatown. That's why I walked 30 mins and couldn't find address. JK very helpful. He knew I was wrong way and guided me. Thanks JK.
The location was good. I didn’t meet the host. When I go out, I can't lock the key from the outside to the private room. There is no key. Kitchen and living room is clean widely. But The bathrooms are a little dirty. The roof was dripping. The car must be parked in the street. If you stop in the parking requires $ 15.
A nice, clean, comfortable place. Just a few more instructions about how to find the entrance and how to work the door code entry would have been great. (Not hard, but I had trouble because it was new to me and I'm not too bright about mechanics.)
The airbnb had everything I needed, and the host provided all of the necessary information to find the location, check-in, etc. There were a few things I was uncomfortable with though:
1) The bedroom doors do not have keys, so a dishonest guest could theoretically cause a lot of trouble, especially since the front door to the building opens with an automatic code.
2) The bathroom definitely could have been cleaner. The shower was a little gross.
3) The central a/c was incredibly loud, and one of my fellow guests kept blasting the a/c when s/he arrived home late at night, so it would get very cold during the night all of a sudden.
**This place has a lot of potential-- large house, convenient location, cozy bed, big kitchen, etc. With better cleaning, and more regulation and presence from the host, I would give it 4 stars. But right now, it's only 3 stars.
The stay at JK's place was ok. It was our first experience with airbnb, so we didnt know what to expect. The communication before our arrival worked very well, so we got in easily. On our arrival, there was dirty dish all over the kitchen, but noone seemed to be there(that was scary). Even the fridge was full of food. Unfortunately, the rooms are not as shown as in the pictures. The pictures seem to be very old. The bathroom is a little shabby and the bath tub was dirty. We were a little disappointed, that the Place was so Dirty. We only met JK once. He was very Nice and helpfull. The location of the Place is very good. If you have a rental Car, you can just Park in the nearly Streets around the House.
To sum up, the Place was okay, but dont expect Too much, the pictures do not show the actual condition of the rooms and bathroom.
Jk is a good host and very helpful.
The room is very big, you have enough place for your stuff. It is close to downtown and Chinatown.
The neighborhood is safe and there is a supermarket (CVS, 24h open) i 5min walking distance.
A car is recommendable, if you want to go to Hollywood or to the beach.
