Interaction with Guests
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the cottage or the Russian River area. We will not be at the property during your visit, but are available by text or email when you need us.
The neighborhood feels kind of magical. It is quiet and feels removed from the traffic, with huge trees and lots of birds. But the river is right across the street, with easy access to kayaking and rafting.
We love being within within easy walking distance of the Rio Theater -- the historic movie theater that features first run movies and holds regular Movie and Dinner events.
Among the activities that are available in the area are biking, swimming, tennis, golf, kayaking and rafting, winery tours, art galleries and open studios, restaurants, health and beauty spas, bird watching, shopping (including outlet malls,) miniature golf, scenic drives, boating, antiquing, whale watching and horseback riding.
While there is a Sonoma County bus stop at the end of the street, unless you're biking up here, you will likely need to have a vehicle.
Please, no smoking on the property. This is a getaway home for two, and while we welcome you to have friends visit for a meal, the septic system won't support a crowd.
Lesley's cottage was perfect. The place is nestled at the base of a few redwoods and her lawn chairs and hammock were divine. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped. Would highly recommend this one for Airbnb travelers to Monte rio.
Lesley was very communicative, and the cottage was great for a quiet getaway by the river! It is quite small, which is just something to be aware of if one of you is very tall (my husband is 6'4" and felt a bit like a giant!). All in all great stay.
Our experience at "Spa and Serenity at the River" was wonderful, just the peaceful and relaxing getaway we were looking for. The instructions provided were thorough and easy to manage. The cottage supplied everything we needed. It is within close proximity to the river and a quick drive to Guerneville. We are already looking forward to another trip to the area.
We had a great stay at Lesley's cottage. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable weekend, and the hot tub was lovely during the cool evenings. Our pup rated it two paws up! He especially enjoyed all the interesting birds in the garden.
Lesley's cottage tucked away in the woods of the Russian River valley is cozy, private, and a wonderful retreat away from the stresses of city life. Exactly what I needed. Lesley herself was very communicative and helpful. Thank you for letting me stay at your quiet little cottage!
I had a wonderful time at the Spa and Serenity. The cottage was decorated beautifully with artwork and comfortable furniture throughout. I enjoyed views from the windows of the woods and it was very relaxing to get away from everything. I enjoyed the Roku and caught up on a few shows. I would like to come back in the summer time for kayaking. Lesley was a great host. She made sure we had everything we needed. She was quick to answer any questions to make our stay better.
We had a great time at 'Spa and Serenity at the River'. Lesley was very prompt in returning both email and text communication and her instructions were easy to follow. The place is set in the Redwood trees so it's very refreshing and beautiful but does not get a lot of sunlight. The cottage is very well updated and comfortable and the wood stove heats the whole place easily if needed. The hot tub is also very nice. Only draw back there is that there are street lights the shine brightly which are a little annoying when tubbing at night. There are a few neighbors close by but because there is a fence around the place and lots of trees it still feel very private. Lots of space outside for a dog to enjoy too. Would definitely return.
