In Central Salem, a cozy guest suite located on the third floor of a charming 1908 home with separate entrance. Walking distance to Salem attractions and amenities. Enjoy the bird's-eye view from the top, have a soak in the spacious bathtub or log on to your favorite streaming services from the comfort of our guest suite.

We are conveniently located 1.5 miles from I-5. Salem and its surrounding areas are also home to countless top-notch wineries and an hour from the beautiful Oregon coast.

The space
***Please note: guests must climb two flights of stairs to reach the apartment making our space unsuitable for anyone not comfortable with stairs.***

The guest suite is a charming 650 square foot apartment on the third floor of our home, with a full bathroom and kitchen for your private use.

The space has one larger alcoved room that serves as a bedroom with a queen bed. A second alcoved space can serve as a workspace with a desk and chair, but also has a single bed if needed. Both of these spaces have closets, but as you'll see in pictures, the rooms do not have standard doors. There are curtains hung in place in the archways that serve as doors, so it is essentially a two-bedroom apartment. The living room couch is a futon that can sleep a smaller person in a pinch.

The kitchen is well-outfitted for cooking and eating in. It has an oven, fridge, microwave, sink, kettle, toaster and coffee pot/Keurig. There are dishes, utensils, pots and pans and baking dishes. If you need something specific for making a meal and it’s not already up there, feel free to ask—chances are we can provide it. We provide coffee and many pantry basics.

The bathroom is spacious with a full bathtub and shower.

The space has its own furnace so you can control the temperature settings. There are two freestanding A/C unit for warmer months.

Bringing Children: We are always happy to have children as guests! If you plan to bring little ones, please just shoot me a message when you book to let me know that you have seen the info about stairs so there aren't any surprises when you arrive!

Guest access
Guests will have full and exclusive access to the third story apartment. The apartment is accessed by climbing the stairs off our back deck. An exterior door on the second story deck will lead you up to the suite.

Other things to note
The suite is located on the top floor of our three-story home. Unfortunately, with two flights of stairs to climb to access the space, the accommodations would not be suitable for anyone with mobility challenges or any difficulty climbing stairs. Please note, the last set of stairs is quite steep!

Our home is centrally located within the downtown Salem area: a few blocks from the State Capitol, the local Farmer's Market, Christo's Pizza, Broadway Coffee, Willamette University, Safeway and within a mile of Salem Hospital, Oregon State Hospital, Oregon State Fairgrounds and the train station. We are about 1.5 miles off of I-5.

Please note, that because of our proximity to downtown and the busy road, you will hear some traffic noise and possibly neighbors from time to time.

Free on-street parking is available. We live in a zoned parking area, so guest passes are available to hang in your car window. We receive only a limited number of parking passes per year and they cost $15 to replace, so they need to be returned at check-out.
