Our 2 story loft-style house is centrally located in a tranquil lush setting. We provide complimentary breakfast and make sure you have an amazing stay. The guestroom is spacious and comfortable. Within 10 minutes you can reach cafes, restaurants and a gym with pool.
We guarantee to make your stay in Vientiane a memorable and fun experience!
Our traditional Lao style wooden house is located in a tranquil and safe area in a lush green setting. It is a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is very open like a loft, but still offers enough privacy.
The house is spacious and we rent out the biggest room downstairs with a king size bed (note: the mattress is quite hard) and air conditioning as well as a large wardrobe and shelf. In the morning you will wake up in a tropical setting with lovely bird song. The bathroom has hot water and we provide toilet paper. We also have laundry facilities, which you can use.
Our fully equipped kitchen is great for cooking and we provide eggs and ham, cornflakes and milk for your complimentary breakfast as well as drinking water and tea for your daily use.
We set up an office upstairs with work desks and a whiteboard. Great for travel planning, blog updating and such.
We sometimes rearrange our furniture and are happy to provide extra chairs or tables for your room if you want.
There are mosquito nets installed on every window, so even though we live at the canal there are hardly any mosquito in the house.
The house is very tidy. Our lovely housekeeper comes three times per week and also cooks for us.
Our guests are welcome to use all the facilities provided upon agreement, but are asked to respect the privacy of our bedrooms upstairs.
We will give you the key to the house, so you can enter and leave any time you want.
Interaction with Guests
We will help to arrange your transportation from your point of arrival in Vientiane either by picking you up or by guiding you to our house by sending you a map with clear instructions.
We will treat you as part of our household and are happy to share the occasional drink and meal together or invite you to meet fellow expats in Vientiane as long as you feel comfortable with it. We are also happy to explore Vientiane with you.
We both work full time but are free most evenings and during the weekend.
Our house is in a tranquil and safe neighborhood in a lush green setting along a canal. Sengdara Fitness Centre (gym, spa, swimming pool) and various international cafes and local Lao restaurants are in walking distance. The Thailand Consulate is just a quick bike ride (3 minutes) away great to organise a visa.
It takes about 10 minutes to go downtown by scooter or tuk-tuk.
The easiest and most cost effective way to get around in Vientiane is to rent a bicycle or motorbike. Motorbike costs around $7 per day, but can be negotiated. To hop on a tuk-tuk is also a common means of transportation, but more expensive. There are always plenty of tuk-tuks on the main road close to our house.
We also have 2 bicycles and a motorbike, which you can use upon our agreement.
Other Things to Note
There are a few geckos and spiders in the house, which is normal in a tropical country.
No smoking inside
I highly recommend Tina and Rob's place. They are very friendly, helpful hosts. The house, as well as the room, is well equipped and very spacious. Perfect for a relaxed stay in Vientiane. I will definitely come back!
Hi, we’re Rob and Tina. Both grew up in Germany, but have been abroad since 2010 and love the nomadic lifestyle. So far we called Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Panama our home and now settled in Laos for 2014. We love to meet fellow travellers!
