Interaction with Guests
I will be available for guests if they need me for anything. But I prefer to have the guest enjoy the house as if it were their own. I am here to help with any questions about the neighborhood and the house. Everything on the house is explained in the house manual.
This historical quaint neighborhood is a much loved and adored area of Los Angeles. Tree lined streets with gorgeous historical homes, most from the 1920's, makes for a wonderful vacation. We are very close to tourist areas, hiking, and the best shopping and restaurants LA has to offer. Walking distance to grocery, shopping, restaurants, and great parts of this amazing city.
Los Angeles is best enjoyed if you have your own vehicle. We offer two parking spaces in the driveway for you, plus plenty of street parking. I suggest renting a car from the airport and we are an easy route from there.
Check out before 11am unless late check out is confirmed and paid for prior to check in. Smoking allowed outside only. Smoking inside will cost your entire deposit. Mandatory pet fee of $350 for cleaning up after you loved one has checked out. No loud parties. No overnight guests over 4 people. Thanks!
This was our second time at the house on Genesee and we found it, yet again, a perfect place to stay. We spent ten days this trip. The house is centrally located and there are many things in walking distance from the house. We rented two cars and the designated parking spaces were perfect--even for a very large SUV and standard size car. The house is very clean and the furniture design is modern but very comfortable. The artwork and objects make the house very warm and inviting. The instructions for maintaining the house are very clear and easy to follow. The house has fantastic flow for people who like to live in an open and airy space. When all the French doors are open the line between inside and outside blurs really nicely. Even though the house is not buried in the hills there is a lot of nature to appreciate. The bedding and towels are white and very soft and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you would need in a rental home. The wifi and televisions worked very well. The cell phone service, which can be really spotty in L.A., was just fine. Both times we have visited the house we have gone with our daughter. She is now 12 and loves the house as much as we do. Our daughter is older so I don't know how well suited the house is to toddlers. The bedrooms are very spacious and if you need anything or have any questions you will get a quick response. A terrific rental. We hope to stay there again.
We loved staying at this gorgeous house and wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful modern decor, artwork and space. Warm welcome of wine and snacks was a really nice touch. Great location too!
This is the second time we have rented through Melissa. Like the first, it has been a wonderful experience. I would definitely rent this place again.
We loved our stay here. The location was fabulous and the house is stunning. Everything was as described on the listing. Being on the corner the road is quite noisy, however, this wouldn't put us off recommending to friends or returning ourselves. Overall a very positive experience.
It was a lovely place, very welcoming and warm. it was an excellent location aside from a bit noisy due to the close proximity to a main street. Aside from that it was extremely enjoyable. The garden and BBQ were enjoyed daily until the very last day.
Melissa has a lovely home in a fabulous location. I would recommend her listing to anyone. She gave very clear house rules and was very accommodating and easy to reach.
