As for the neighborhood, this probably one of the coolest places to live in the city.
Falletti Foods - Our Home away from home - you can throw a baseball from our house and hit this amazing grocery store and shopping center
BiRite Market - Go to Amazon to check out their great books on food, or just walk in as we are 3 blocks away and try some of their amazing sea salt ice cream!
Nopalito - One of SF's hippest and best restaurants
Delessio Market- Amazing bakery and precooked meals
Regazza - Amazing hot new pizza place
New Boxing Gym
Palmyra - Awesome Mediterranean food
Little Chihuahuas - Great Taqueria
A few other near by highlights
Nopa Farmers Market - Our Favorite Place for sundays - This is actually 3 blocks away
The Independent - Great place to catch shows
NOPA - Awesome restaurant
Madrones - Awesome infused vodka bar
Within 4 blocks of the house you probably have another 200 great bars, restaurants, gyms, yoga studios, and stores. Yet the neighborhood is really quiet and mellow as it 1 block off the action.
Like I said this is an amazing place to live and we feel so lucky to enjoyed the space and now it is your opportunity to as well.
Anyway that is just about it. We look forward to your stay! Also check out our other Luxury 1BR property located at :
My wife Joan and I just got back from San Fran, we stayed at Darius and Maria's place, and it was nothing short of spectacular. I renovate old houses for a living, and I gotta say, this renovation rivaled some of the best I've done. Incredible woodwork, attention to detail, very old school, but modernized. We were visiting my daughter who lives in SF, and she worked for years for me renovating. She too was blown away, and noticed the updated, double pained glass in all the windows, which even escaped my attention. That's what I mean by old school but modernized.
The apt is located in just about the best place you could be, a few minutes walk from the Haight, one block up from Faletti Foods, which is one of the best markets in the city, and easy reach to everything via bus, train, or Uber. If you feel like eating out, go for it, if you feel like cooking in, the kitchen in the apt will do the job nicely.
Everything was very well explained, leaving little margin for misunderstanding, which I find important when I'm staying in someone else's place, esp one as nice as this.
Overall, a great time, many thanks.
Great place, great location, nice people!
I really enjoyed my stay here- the photos were very representative of the house, but there actually was more space. Lots of closet space to stow away suitcases and the bathroom was especially nice- very modern and the shower has great water pressure (hey, it counts!). We ordered in Thai food and there were plenty of plates and utensils which was nice. In case you aren't familiar with SF neighborhoods, this house is located in a really great neighborhood, close to Lower Haight shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. You could also walk up to Upper Haight in 20 minutes. Overall very pleased with my experience. Oh, and the check in/ check out process was incredibly easy!! Thanks for everything Darius and Maria
This place was terrific! Just as advertised. Darius was a perfect host and made sure we had all the information we needed to have a wonderful stay. Thanks!
This was a lovely apartment in a great area of SF! I was traveling with a friend and it was perfectly set up to convert to two private bedrooms at night.
Perfect location in a great part of the city. The flat itself is incredible! Darius and his wife were incredibly responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit SF.
Great information and ease of contacting the owners, gave us what we needed to know. Interesting and eclectic furnishing and well-kitted-out kitchen, made our stay comfortable. A few things lacking, but overall a nice stay.
I had a great stay here! Great location and very spacious.. Clean and loads of charm! Would definitely stay here again.
I had a great stay at Darius and Maria's property. The 1BR flat was quite charming, with lots of historical charm, including great wood paneling and Art Deco electrical fixtures. The location is spectacular: a block from Divisidero, the central commercial street in the Western Addition/Panhandle/mid-Haight, and allows for easy access downtown. It's clear the owners have put a lot of thought into making their home airbnb-ready: they provided lots of documentation and recommendations for things to experience in the neighborhood, as well as greater SF. Bottom line, this was a great alternative to the downtown hotels during a busy conference week i the city, and I will be sure to return.
This was our first AirBnB experience, and we loved it. The apartment is well located in the geographical center of the city. The neighborhood is very hip, noisy on weekend nights. At 62 and 59, we were the oldest folks--by at least 25 years--in the shops, on the sidewalks, restaurants, and bars on the commercial strip.
The apartment was spacious, clean, well heated, and comfortably furnished, new bathroom fixtures, plenty of hot water, high quality towels and sheets. Only two minor complaints: window shades could be sturdier (one kept falling down) and the coffee maker is too small for more than one person. Otherwise, it was great and we would recommend it to others. Thanks, Darius and Maria!
