Waht a beautiful house! This house was exactly what we expected - a home away from home. Even requiring an extra bed was no problem. Kathy was available via mobile if required, which was reassuring. The location was excellent - a short walk to the light rail - made it very easy to get around Sydney. Quiet area with very little traffic noise too.
The house was a lovely grand old house and we loved staying in it. We were with our parents and sister who was getting married and it was perfect for her wedding week and to get ready in. There's lots of space and places to relax in, and the beds are very comfortable and we loved the big bath! The location is very central and easy to drive to, there's also plenty of food options and food delivery options around. Highly recommend a stay here!! just be aware that there is things of the owners around but it didn't bother us :)
We loved the very "homey" feel about the whole house. From the bright kitchen, spacious rooms and private garden, which were cosy and clean, we felt right at home. It is a quiet neighbourhood and the beds are comfortable. Having 2.5 bathrooms in a house meant for 6 also helps when you are rushing for time.
Kathy left enough in the kitchen, clear instructions and an adequate amount of information for us to make some decisions for our trip.
Glebe is also a convenient location for those that want to be near to the city without actually being in it. I would recommend this house if you drive.
Kathys place was so beautiful. It had everything you could hope for in a stay away from home. But still had a great homely feel. Perfect location, walking distance to cafes and corner stores. Short drive to the city and sites around Sydney. You definitely will not be disappointed in this property.
It was a comfortable stay for six of us. Everything we needed was provided for. We came for my daughter's wedding and the big kitchen and big table made it easy for me to do flowers arrangement for the wedding.
This is a great house to stay. Location is convenient. Just hop onto tram or bus which is within walking distance and we get to the city just in a few stops. Cafe and shops are near. Highly recommend this house. Thank you Kathy for a comfortable stay. Amy
I had a great stay at Kathy's house and it is as shown in the pics, really lovely antique wooden furniture mixed with some exotic pieces from around the world, and very well furnished so you have everything you needed. House was much bigger than we expected. We really loved how quiet the street was, but only a few mins walk to the row of restaurants, cafe and shops, and an easy stroll to the tram which takes you to Central within 10 mins! Overall it's a wonderful area to be staying in with a nice oval/park and river nearby as well if you just want to relax on a bright sunny day (the Fish Markets is probably walkable but only 1 stop by Tram). Thanks again Kathy for sharing your house with us and it was a pleasure dealing with you :)
This house provided a superb base for an excellent trip to Sydney over Easter. We really could not have asked for a better experience or better lodgings - and it really exists as an example of the great experiences possible only through airbnb! As a first time user, I am now convinced to seek out more opportunities like this in the future...
The location was optimal - being in a quiet area with beautiful cafes and eateries close-by whilst also being in short range of easily accessible public transport to practically anywhere in Sydney that you would want to go. As an example - we had some superb boulangerie-style pastries from the main strip on many days, whilst also indulging on some cheap and cheerful Thai and Lebanese takeaway in the evenings. There was no indication of any 'luxury' tax by being in Sydney or even in this region with all local consumption experiences being great value for money.
The house itself was lovely and surprisingly large. Plenty of private space and excellent communal areas as well - the main focal point being a large functional kitchen with all the trimmings. We spent a lot of time here because it was so comfortable!
The hosts were very approachable and accommodating to requirements, which made us feel at home.
The reasonable pricing was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.
