Some things to keep in mind before making a reservation: 1.) The apartment is shared space, you will NOT have your own room, nor your own bathroom (which I knew prior to making a reservation). So, you may need to be flexible when it comes to when you use the bathroom. There is…

Dear Joseph, Thank you for your feedback and review. I found some of the elements you mentioned a complete surprise considering all the reverential bowing to me during your sojourn in my home. I realize we all are doing the best we can, however, perhaps, in the future, you can be more upfront and honest to your host, instead of feigning satisfaction, and by the way, this is far more respectful and compassionate way of being than bowing to someone. I think that you have to become more realistic about what you are getting into before you commit or book a reservation. I think some of your above complaints were a bit unreasonable and high maintenance ( as you said it yoursel considering the price you were paying. I am very clear in what I offer: this place as it advertised is Bohemian Chic Retreat with warm bed in a shared space, a charming home filled with paintings and culture, as well as Full Complimentary English Breakfast, ALL for just $39.00 a night, that’s great value! And rightly so, because of the nature of my home and the fact that it is a shared space it is ideal for who is very busy out and about, site seeing and or getting things done. It is ideal for the business person relocating to Los Angeles or global traveler on a budget that doesn’t demand perfection or has such exacting standards and also understands how to give people their space and privacy. In addition I also enjoy guests who not only follow house rules like you yourself did, but in addition are mature, self-aware and has excellent communication skills and makes an effort look to work for the mutual harmony and happiness of all parties. Also, because this is a shared space, guests should understand the importance of giving their hosts their space and privacy, but most importantly, communicating in a productive, compassionate way about any of their expectations which can only contribute to the overall happiness of everyone. With regards to any bugs, it has nothing to with cleanliness. It is a given that most apartments in California, especially Los Angeles, upon occasion certain little animals like spiders come up from the drain pipes and an occasional fruit fly. I know that people from more cold climates like yourself are not used to bugs, but it is a common problem and most Californians just learn to live with it. Honestly, you weren't receptive and positive about receiving my services and what I have to offer. You didn’t take me up on my Complimentary breakfast because of your dietary preference of eating 8 eggs for breakfast, perhaps, in the future, let people shine, and also you can be more open to the positive things in a situation and be a bit more flexible and this way you’ll enjoy life to the fullest and have no regrets! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors teaching English in Japan and your journey in life!

Sabrina was incredible accommodating, as I booked her space at the very last minute. She was welcoming and very communicative about her expectations for making the space a harmonious, shared environment. She was very kind to offer use of her kitchen, as well as oatmeal and tea …

I accepted Vicky's request in spite of her being an inexperienced guests and having no reviews on airbnb.com. First, I never said I wasn't going to not give you a refund. I simply said it was irresponsible to cancel, since I felt you didn't have a really good reason. You cancelled because I felt you cancelled more out of whimsy and caprice than inconvenience. In the end, you cancelled because you said it was too far and you wanted to be with your friends in Santa Monica. I didn't blame you I just said you should take your commitments more seriously and not be flakey. You had time to look up the distance between Santa Monica & Ktown on the bus before you booked with me. I also said in the (Website hidden by Airbnb) thread upfront that it was a foldable futon on the floor, so there was no mystery and you also new it was in Koreatown away from Santa Monica. I also gave you a towel and I had washed the sheets the night before. I think in general you have to pay more attention to the house rules and guidelines, or in general when people speak to you. And, learn to pick up after yourself and offer to be more helpful without people asking or suggesting you to do so. And, yes, you should make your own bed every morning or futon and get it out of the walk way. I don't see what is wrong with that. I didn't know how refund works on (Website hidden by Airbnb) at the time when you asked me, I thought that airbnb.com would only charge you for the 2 nights since you said you called them, but after further investigation, I am happy to give you a refund, you have to go through resolution center and you have 14 days. Thank you Vicky and I wish you all the best in your journey. Sabrina
