Svay Leu, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia

Visit the beautiful ruins of Prasat Beng Mealea, now quite popular with tourists from around the world. We encourage to visit early morning or late afternoon when the light is stunning and the temple is quiet and al the other tourists have gone back to Siem Reap. These are the times when you can find you have the whole place to yourself, though beware if you are superstitious and be sure to be out of there by night fall as the grounds are notorious for ghosts!
Guides can be arranged to visit our local Pagoda right next door to our house. Visits are by donation.
Restaurants are available during the day but if you would like evening meals you need to book as they usually close in the late afternoon. Only Khmer food is available out here so if you need any western food you will need to bring your own.

Im an active, friendly and caring human. Im into Permaculture and growing food and living as sustainably as I can manage. I work part time with an NGO in Cambodia. I love music.... listening, playing, or dancing. I love art and all things creative and endearing. I love the bush and the beach and encouraging natural ecosystems in my back yard. I have hosted many travellers over the years through Wwoof/Helpx and Couchsurfing. I love to travel and learn and share with people from all around the world.
