This house is located just one block from the state Capitol and only a few blocks from historic downtown. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and historical sites. A short drive to anywhere in central Kentucky – including distilleries, historic sites, horse farms, racetracks, and major interstates.

The space
Guests will have the entire house to use while staying at Capital Cottage! There is a large, private outdoor space that is partially covered. A wood privacy fence surrounds the entire outdoor space.

This house is on one level featuring lots of natural light and privacy. There are four steps leading to the front door.

There is no on-site parking but ample on-street parking is close-by.

The fully equipped kitchen offers a full-size refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and utensils.

A view of the Capitol dome will greet you upon your arrival at Capital Cottage! The Capitol grounds are like a park and offer several types of trees, flowers, as well as our unique floral clock. This house is in the South Frankfort National Historic District which provides picturesque homes and very walkable streets. Just a few blocks away is the Kentucky River which offers many activities from canoeing to fishing. A 15-minute walk will find you in historic downtown Frankfort which is filled with shops, restaurants, bars, art studios and historical sites. Buffalo Trace Distillery is less than 5-minutes away and there are 15 distilleries within a 20-mile radius. This is a perfectly located base of operation for your visit to central Kentucky!
