We had a wonderful time at Luca's apartment in Rome. Everything worked out smoothly, we were welcomed at the reception with the keys. The apartment was clean and very big. The house is located in a great area and has the charm of a traditional roman house -complete with a little garden and sculptures. We can highly recommend staying at this special place.
Great apartment! Extremely spacious. The living room was really a great bonus for our vacation-- our family was able to hang out together because we all fit on the sofas! We didn't realize how nice this was until we travelled and stayed in other apartments that only had one couch, so we spent most of our time apart in our separate rooms. Kitchen has basics such as oil, salt, pepper, utensils and pots, small hot water boiler, etc. Luca was also very nice about our late arrival-- we arrived 2 hours late because Italo had cancelled our 1 hour fast train and we had to scramble for a 3 hour local train (Italo workers went on strike that day and we didn't know). We didn't have cell service to contact him and he was very understanding, which I appreciated because he didn't have to be.
I'm a super over-planner and spent weeks researching where to stay in Rome. I was struggling between staying in the hip neighborhood of Trastavere or here in Campo dei Fiori, and I'm so glad I chose this location-- perfect because it's AT MOST a 20-30 minute walk from every tourist site, everything you'd want to see for your first time in Rome: Vatican to the west, Colosseum to the east, Spanish steps to the north, Trastavere to the south, with this apartment right in the middle. It was really nice to be able to stop in for an afternoon nap and not feeling guilty because we went too far to the hotel. I also think this might be the quietest apartment in the center of Rome (very important for my parents, who are from the suburbs and are light sleepers).
Recommended to all, but especially to first timers in Rome. Our favorite stay in Italy!
Enjoyed our stay at Luca apartment in Rome. Was ideal for our needs and the location was great!
Simply beautiful. We were a group of seven adults and the space, location and hosts - unbeatable!
We had a great stay with Luca; the place was in great condition, a great location and a great time. A minor plumbing problem was dealt with right away. We'd definitely stay here again in a future visit to Rome.
My dad and I had a lovely time in the apartment. It is a beautiful building and flat, at a great location. The flat was very spacious and clean. The Internet is quick too. Even though we were picked and brought to the flat by the son of the host, everything was fine and settled in advance. Lucia was available for help, had we needed it.
Overall, a great experience!
