Our stay at this house was outstanding. This house is PERFECT! The garden, the waterfall, the nature, everything was really, really great! The house was really clean, had really nice furnitures. You cant find the right words to describe how great this place is. A lot of space inside and outside. Colum gave us great Tipps.. There are a lot of places to visit nearby. The pub, about 5-10 minutes to walk is cozy and great, too. Really nice owners. Hope to come back, soon. Thank you, Colum.

A very special and charming house. Its in a quiet and peaceful place but also close to a lot beautiful traveling areas, a grocery shop and pubs. Colum is a great host- funny and interesting. He would happily help explaining about the region, always available and helping. We would happily return...

Colum was a great host and very helpful gave great recommendations and advice on where to visit & places to eat. we would love to have stayed longer. I traveled with my husband, 3 teenagers & my parents and all enjoyed the trip & stay at Colum's house, there was plenty of space for everyone. The house was warm, comfortable, very clean and located on beautiful grounds the river running through the garden was fabulous and we had a great laugh while trying to catch a fish. My son did catch a little one (which we returned ) while some bigger ones jumped around teasing the rest of us.

You can not find a more hospitable and welcoming host than Colum on Airbnb - he's simply great. He went out of his way on many occasions to help with some of our needs without seeming bothered at all. The home is bigger than I expected. We had plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms. There were 5 of us staying there, and his home gave us plenty of privacy when we needed it. The outside area was beautiful and nearby river was very peaceful. The country side location proved to be exactly what we were looking for. We can't thank Colum enough for making our trip amazing. We would recommend his home to anyone. Thanks Colum!

Just as picturesd. Great quiet location. Enjoyed our walk to the castle and the pub - and a cup of tea by the falls. Colum has a fantastic home that he built with his own two hands and has a lot to be proud of! We would absolutely stay there again!

We have just had a 7 night stay at The Falls for our sisters wedding in Bantry and we were very impressed with the property. The master suite is massive and ensuite, as are three of the four bedrooms and the final bedroom has a bathroom separately. The kitchen is huge and has a dining table for 6 people, we cooked big family meals and had all the space we needed. There are two living rooms, one to relax and read in and one to watch tv in. The utility room is fully stocked with a washer and dryer, the heating and hot water are available all day and night if needed. The garden is beautiful, with a stream running through it, plenty of parking at the house and it is set back from the road so it's peaceful and you don't hear the cars from the road. Colum was always there if we needed him and popped in and checked on us. I would highly recommend this property for great value and lovely location. We were only a 5 minute walk from Kealkil, and a 10 minute drive from Bantry Bay.

If you're lucky enough that this place is available on your dates -BOOK IT now! It's a true hidden gem. We stayed at The Falls in the week before our Gougane Barra Wedding on 29 July and we're delighted we did. Upon entering the house we were shocked at how utterly spacious it is with plenty room for people to spread out or to socialise in the kitchen -through to living room. The kitchen is huge and absolutely beautiful. It was a pleasure to prepare food in there and eat at the big table which sat about 8ppl. We stayed in the large downstairs master bedroom with en-suite, completely spotless with lovely bedding. We appreciated that the shades keep the room very dark in the morning to ensure you get all the sleep you need. Leave the window open at night to hear the beautiful sounds of the waterfall soothe you to sleep. A nice touch when stressing about an upcoming wedding! It was nice to sit by the river with a coffee and take a breather in the daytime too. Colum was a brilliant host and couldn't do enough for us. He met us on time and ensured we knew how everything worked and even walked us down the garden to the waterfall and told us some local tales. You can tell he enjoys having guests to stay and he cares about you enjoying yourself in the area. He was very accommodating with 'check-out' as it was on our actual wedding day. He told us not to worry! The location is ideal, half way between Bantry town and the beautiful Gougane Barra. Both 15mins drive away. The house is nested into the local land and feels very secluded despite being close to amenities. A short walk down the road brings you to the Carriganass Castle. We went there and met a lovely local volunteer who told us some local history and even played us a wedding song on his accordian, very sweet! We will definitely be staying here again.

If you listen to the sound of the River long enough you will catch a trout.
