Lovely large one bed apartment with living area in Portabello the best area of Dublin. 2 minutes away from the leafy canal and Camden St with the best variety of restaurants, bars and cultural spaces. Situated on a quiet residential street.
The apartment consists of a large bedroom (perfect for a couple) , a large light filled living space and a fire, as well as a small kitchen. I'm renting it cheap initially because I'm new on Airbnb, but this hidden gem is a real bargin. Hopefully I'll have interior photos up in a few days as my ipad has just crashed, but whoever takes a chance on this apartment won't be disappointed. Best location in Dublin
Excellent shower and bathroom, washing machine, gas cooker, microwave, fridge, double bed. I have no wifi in the apartment but I´m located two minutes from a few different cafes with wifi
Interaction with Guests
I'm away travelling for a while so the keys will be organised by a close relative.
Portabello and Camden St are the most sought after rental locations in Dublin for a reason.Situated on a quiet residential street, I'm literally a two minute walk from Portabello Bridge and the Grand Canal. Evenings can be spent watching enjoying a drink out on the banks of the canal ( one of every Dubliner's favorite past times), or exploring the vast number of bars, restaurants, shops and cultural spaces in the area.
Also a ten minute walk ( five on the bus) to Trinity College, Templebar and the heart of Dublin city centre, and a five minute walk from the trendy villages of Ranelagh and Rathmines.
All of the bars listed her are within a five minute walk (website hidden)
1) Lennox St cafe
2) Dublin's trendiest bar for artists, musicians and students, The Bernard Shaw
3) Wall and Keogh Tea Shop
4) Anseo, a great music bar
Conviently located one minute from Rathmines, one of the most connected bus route in Dublin, and a two minute walk from the Luas, Dublin's light rail system.
Other Things to Note
I'm brand new to Airbnd hence the cheap pricing, though this is the most expensive rental area of Dublin for a reason
No smoking. Please respect the apartment as if it were your own.
Cosy and clean apartment, great location, friendly and no-nonsense host. Nothing to complain about... maybe it would have been nice with wifi, but the nice coffe shop on the corner had free wifi so no complaints there either!
Wonderfully quirky, homey place to stay, very convenient for walking into Dublin. Loved it. Don't miss the Bernard Shaw - particularly the pizza bus!
Rob's place offered a nice location to explore Dublin. A 15 minute walk to the hustle bustle of the city center and Dublin Castle, a 15 minute walk to Ranaleagh village (great food! Eat at Cinnamon or La Bodega--both were fantastic). Had drinks at The Bleeding Horse--a 10 minute walk. Morning coffee and wi-fi at The Grove Road coffee bar on the corner. It was about 7 euro to get to the Gaol and Guinness tour. All in all, a great trip. The walls are quite thin, but that's city life for you! Rob was great about checking in to ensure we were comfortable. Thanks for a great place to stay!
Great location in a peaceful road just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Dublin. Rob was very helpful with regards to transport from the airport and a list of things to do in Dublin for the weekend. The flat is minutes away from great little restaurants and bars too.
We had a warm welcome from Rob's Mum. The apartment is really nice and cute. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood just 15-20 min walking from city center. Lots of bars and restaurant around Camden street Lower (5 min walk). We enjoyed of being there. Great place to stay in Dublin!
