Interaction with Guests
I'm away travelling for a while so the keys will be organised by a close relative.
Portabello and Camden St are the most sought after rental locations in Dublin for a reason.Situated on a quiet residential street, I'm literally a two minute walk from Portabello Bridge and the Grand Canal. Evenings can be spent watching enjoying a drink out on the banks of the canal ( one of every Dubliner's favorite past times), or exploring the vast number of bars, restaurants, shops and cultural spaces in the area.
Also a ten minute walk ( five on the bus) to Trinity College, Templebar and the heart of Dublin city centre, and a five minute walk from the trendy villages of Ranelagh and Rathmines.
All of the bars listed her are within a five minute walk (website hidden)
1) Lennox St cafe
2) Dublin's trendiest bar for artists, musicians and students, The Bernard Shaw
3) Wall and Keogh Tea Shop
4) Anseo, a great music bar
Conviently located one minute from Rathmines, one of the most connected bus route in Dublin, and a two minute walk from the Luas, Dublin's light rail system.
Other Things to Note
I'm brand new to Airbnd hence the cheap pricing, though this is the most expensive rental area of Dublin for a reason
No smoking. Please respect the apartment as if it were your own.
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Vraiment très bel appartement, le centre est très accessible à pied, très bon moment passés à Dublin, merci!
The apartment is as it appears in photographs and well located. Eva was very friendly and helpful when we needed a special favor. Everything went well. Thanks a lot.
Rob's place was exactly as described: spacious and very tidy and nice. The location is good and the house seemed pretty quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
We had a great stay in Dublin! Rob and his family were very welcoming and gracious when we left something at the apartment after checking out. The location is within walking distance to all Dublin attractions, but it also had a great neighborhood feel. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable, including a great shower and nice bed.
Rob was a very welcoming host. We enjoyed our stay in his lovely flat. Highly recommended
Rob's place was great! Location-wise, it's 15 min walking from the City Centre, so most of the time we walked & didn't take the bus, but if you ever need to take the bus, it's cheap & takes you there in 5 mins.
In terms of the place itself, very comfortable, lots of light, spacious living room, cozy bedroom and an amazing fireplace!! We bought firelogs from the Tesco on Richmond St (the boulevard that takes you to the city centre) & used them to make a nice cozy fire (the logs light up instantly & burn for about 2 hours each). I recommend this as an experience! Also, the place is very homey & it has loads of psychology, spiritualitity, philosophy and history books (people like Carl Jung or Joseph Campbell for example), so it's great if you're into these kind of things.
There is indeed a coffee shop just around the corner from Rob's place, that's great for the morning coffee. Has Wifi, great music, great food & nice people serving you!
We met Rob's mother at the flat on the day: she's a very nice person, available if you have any questions etc., so couldn't be more happy!
We enjoyed staying here although we had a couple of issues at first. Rob obviously moves out to accommodate for guests which is fine, however we were a little uncomfortable with quite so much personal stuff around as we were expecting a more "uncluttered" approach. That said, Rob was great, sorted us a lovely fire and parking permits and gave us some sound advice about places to visit. Location is brilliant and we slept really well. Excellent shower. The kitchen is hard work but adequate for making breakfast and light meals.
