The third floor apartment was exactly as described, sunny and bright. The place was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. My boyfriend was initially concerned about the lack of TV, but I was privately pleased - no reason to sit around watching TV when you're on vacation. No microwave or radio but there was Wi-Fi and we listened to music via our iPad.
The location is very convenient, with Union Street shops and cafes right down the street. Bus #45 is right on the corner and we used our 7-day Muni pass to hop on the bus to get to Chinatown, Union Square and many other places.
There is a cute little park across the street, and we sat and watched the dogs, and moms with their babies enjoying lunch. If you're there on the right day of the week/month, the "Octagon House" across the street is open.
Late sleepers on weekdays (9 am or so) might be awakened by the school children on the playground outside the window - a grade school is right behind the apartment building. I personally enjoyed listening to the fun.
Joe shared some restaurant suggestions and we took advantage a couple of times - good choices.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment was clean, comfortable and in a great location. I felt uneasy about the fact that the renters don't own the place, however. They seem to be renting without their landlord's approval. I couldn't help wondering if the landlord had found out if I'd be out on the street.
The apartment is in a great location right off of Union, where there are tons of restaurants and shops. It was clean and comfortable :) An easy "check in" to the apartment and an easy "check out." I was a little bummed that there wasn't a microwave in the kitchen, but other than that it was pretty well stocked. They even provide a single cup coffee machine with different flavored coffees and bottled water!
The location couldn't be better :)
We had a great time in this beautiful apartment, truly spacious and sun-filled. Joe is a very helpful and accommodating host. I can only recommend staying there.
Great location close to lots of bars and restaurants and a quick jog to the Marina. The apartment was as described, quiet, spacious and comfortable, and Joe was an excellent and flexible host. I'd definitely stay here again when in town!
i was up for the weekend for a music fest and joe was an exceptional host. the place is spacious and wonderfully appointed - plus the hammock is pretty awesome :)
