  • Beautiful place. Fantastic host. Great location. Thanks Leny

    January 2014
  • Wow, we loved our stay at Leny's. What an interesting and amazing place. The room was large and spacious, the bed cosy and comfy. The place was spacious and so very clean. Highly recommended.

  • We had an absolutely magical weekend at Leny's place in Leura. Attention to detail was incredible - the art and decor, colour schemes and small touches have real flair and personality. Maintains a vintage feel with all the mod cons. The garden is gorgeous on a spring afternoon with a craft beer; you're a stone's throw away from the cafes and fabulous shopping of Leura and a short walk to hiking trails. We did a 4-hour walk from Leura to Katoomba through the cascades, falls and forest to the scenic railway and took the train back. Wonderful dinner at Silks, which is highly recommended. Next day was leisure - late breakfast, shopping. Make sure you check out Teddy Saunders, Little Wing and Leura Cellars and deli. All really cool spots. The cherry blossoms are beautiful in spring and wildflowers are in full bloom in the National Park. Leny was great, very prompt with responses and easy going - we could check out at our leisure and his dogs were lovely. Very friendly. We are definitely planning to stay again. Top-notch

  • Beautiful home, a bit hard to find, but very lovely place. Leny was very welcoming, great amenities. Room temp started out a bit cool, but with the heaters going we were just fine. Would go back!

    July 2013
  • Nice stay but very cold in the bedroom! Clean, nice location, close to the town center

    July 2013
  • Lovely room and super comfy bed! Very good value for money. We enjoyed exploring Leura village which is a very short walk away.

    June 2013
  • A great time staying here. Recommend it.

    April 2013
  • While the accommodation was perfectly fine, we would have appreciated knowing it was located right on the highway.

    Response from Leny:

Sorry I thought it was mentioned on the website, I know it used to be. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll add something about it now.

  • The flat and the decor are great. Host very quick to respond as we booked at short notice.
Busy road is outside the window but it didn't bother us at all.
Could not use lights in main lounge room without blowing a fuse which Leny fixed for us.
It was a cold dreary night and we would have liked to put on the log fire but sadly there was no kindling or firelighters.
No sign of eggs and no instructions on how to connect to internet were provided.
But on the positive side there is a really comfy bed and the electric blanket was a treat.
Good location close to Leura village and Katoomba and all the attractions of the Blue Mountains.

I went to too many to mention here.
My sister Ned and I brought a beautiful art deco duplex back to its former glory in Leura and now we've moved to Campbell Town in Tasmania, this time it is art nouveau/art and crafts. I drive people mad constantly searching for our next project/adventure and find it very hard to settle down. We are working towards accepting airbnb guests in our house here in Tassie but for the moment it is just Leura. We spent over 3 years in Japan and two Summers in Ireland and twenty years ago we backpacked and hitch hiked around Asia and Europe with my infant son, Akira, who is now 25yo and also an airbnb host in West End in Brisbane. These experiences have made a huge impact on my life. I believe that we should look after the planet and that Australia is plenty big enough to welcome a lot more people from countries less fortunate than ours.
