Hermina is a very genuine person, she offered us coffee and toast in the morning which was a nice touch! Also, you pay for what you get! The neighbourhood could surprise many individuals, because of the low end housing! Picture this more as a hostel rather than a house! She has a great set up. Enjoy!

Hermina responded promptly and I had a place to stay on just a few hours notice. Checking in was easy with the keypad entry and convenient for everyone since I arrived so late. I only regret that we didn't get to meet each other!

Hermina's place was a great base campe for our weekend in Boston. Easy access to Red Line. We had the big room in the basement. Though the bathroom was shared, we never had any issues our contention with its use. Thanks, Hermina! :)

Very disappointed by Hermina's BnB. I didn't understand the previous comments that I have read. As soon as we arrived, we saw a rat crossed the front door, outside on the balcony. You self check-in and Hermina doesn't welcome you. That didn't bother me as I was awared of that. We booked the room A which was a basement with a little window. We felt like we were more in storage place than in a room. The room was not very clean, we found dust everywhere and some spider web at the ceiling. We also found mouse droppings... There weren't two beds but one full bed and one sofa bed with a very thin duvet. FYI, it was a shared bathroom. There were linens next to the bathroom that was washed, wet, no dried during the whole 2 nights stay. The room door can be looked inside but not outside, so we put our luggages in my car when we were away during the day. The shared kitchen is not clean, dishes in the sink etc... We felt like in "l'auberge espagnole", a hostel more than a BnB. The street parking is not that easy, you will be lucky to find a spot. The only positive point I saw is that you are at 5 min walk from train station (15min from Boston). I will not recommend Hermina's unless you are a student and like hostel style.

I'm sorry that you were disappointed, The house is safe and you could ask for the key, there was no need to go through the hassle. Talking to me could help you to have better stay. It's my house and sometimes can be not perfect, I'm working full time I do my best to host people and I'm friendly person. I understand that sometimes it may be not perfect but mainly the house is being cleaned on a regular basis. That's right the big room the students are happy to reserve and save

Hermina's place was easy to find, had ample street parking (free) and plenty of places to sleep. The four of us were very comfortable in Room A. She had clean towels and sheets for us and was very accommodating. Note, do not use the deadbolt on the front door, as you may lock Hermina out. The door locks automatically when one closes it.

Originally from Armenia, I live in Boston for many years. My house is one of many beautiful Victorian houses in oldest neighborhoods in Boston (Dorchester). The house is beautiful, big, clean and colors are my addition to its charm. I love colors you can see it in the pictures.
I love the idea of B&B and now I have chance to host people from the world in my own house. Traveling is part of my life and staying with family opens chance to meet local people.
I share what I know about Boston with pleasure and sometimes I learn from travelers what they discovered in Boston.
