About this listing
This is a charming 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of San Francisco. Just 2 blocks away from the famous Fillmore Street (great shops and restaurants!!) and central to many other fun areas- the location cannot be beat! The apartment has a remodeled kitchen and bathroom, has a shabby-chic decor, and is perfect for 1 or 2 people looking to enjoy the wonderful city of San Francisco! The place is all yours while you stay.
The area offers:
*Fantastic restaurants and cafes (Out the Door, SPQR, Fresca, Woodhouse Grill, Elite Cafe, Florio, Le Boulange, Tortilla Heights, great sushi, etc).
* 2 blocks from the famous Sundance Kabuki movie theater where you can watch all new releases
* Mollie Stone and Safeway grocery stores are each 2 blocks away.
* There's a recreation center close by that has a small gym, basketball & tennis courts, pool, etc.
* Beautiful Alta Plaza park just four blocks away with views of the entire city, tennis courts and playground.
*MUNI bus transit going to most of the city a block away from the building (on Sutter and Geary). There is also plenty of parking in the neighborhood (just make sure to watch the signs for street cleaning!)
* 2 blocks from the UCSF hospital
Please note that the apartment is on the 3rd floor so you'll need to be OK walking up and down stairs.
There are a few rules, but they are strictly enforced:
Absolutely NO smoking!!!!!
No pets (sorry!)
No parties or loud noise as this is a very quiet area and we like to keep it that way.
Did not meet face to face with Sara but she communicated very well with us through email/text from 2 days prior to our reservation through the time we checked out. The apartment was very clean and cute. The only thing is that the bed was really firm which I'm not used to but my husband didn't mind it. Found a nice restaurant called Curbside Cafe which we highly recommend within a 10 min walking distance from the apartment. Stayed 1 night and left the following morning so it was a quick short stay. We enjoyed our stay and loved the neighborhood!
Sara Elizabeth's apartment was lovely and had a good amount of space for the two of us. It is centrally located to Fillmore Street with great shops and restaurants. Japantown is nearby also (ramen noodles!) and is a few blocks walk up to Alamo Sq.
We had full use of the apartment including the kitchen during our stay which is great for storing food and drinks for evenings in after spending all day walking around San Francisco sightseeing.
We didn't meet Sara Elizabeth during our stay but she was good with communications prior on how to get in.
Thanks for a lovely stay!
This is a GREAT apartment! Lots of space, and nicely decorated. It's located on a quiet street so you will sleep well.
The location of the building is pretty central. It's an easy Uber ride to almost any tourist attraction. My wife and I liked that it was an easy walk to both the Full House home AND the Mrs. Doubtfire home. I know that's cheesy, but we like that kind of stuff.
Sara Elizabeth was a great host. She took the time to create a detailed welcome letter. The letter she provides to her guests is extremely helpful, and points out some stores/restaurants nearby.
Two things that we frequently visited:
1) Sweet Maple
2) Starbucks (we needed it every morning)
Both spots are about 5 minute walks from the apartment. Sweet Maple is outstanding. It's breakfast food, and it was delicious.
Elizabeth's apartment was very nice and in a great location. Fillmore St. has a lot of nice restaurants and shops. She was very responsive from a couple days before and all the way through our stay. I would recommend staying here.
The apartment looks just like it does in the pictures. The location was great. There are a lot of shops and restaurants on Fillmore St, and we were able to walk or take relatively cheap rides to get to other neighborhoods in the city.
A fantastic apartment and a perfect base to explore San Francisco. Would highly recommend staying here!
Elizabeth was very welcoming to our home. We didn't meet face to face, but she was very communicative a couple days prior to our stay and then right up through checking in. The apartment is super charming and felt like home right away. The neighborhood was great. Make sure to check out Fillmore Street during your stay, lots of cute shopping/places to eat!
About the Host, Elizabeth
I'm new to San Francisco and finally living in the city of my dreams! In my free time, I'm usually cooking, traveling, skiing, wine tasting and running around SF events. I love to host guests and dinner parties!
I totally love my apartment and have made it really feel like home. Even though I enjoy my time in it, I am often staying with my boyfriend and my place is empty... so I decided to rent it out on this site as I love the idea and really enjoy sharing my home with people who would appreciate it!
