The Estate that welcomes you at Nine Furlongs was built in the mid 1800's. The bungalows are as much a part of the land as are the evergreen forests that surround the Estate.

Nine Furlongs is a blend of British Colonial & Kumaoni Culture, enriched in a mythological & historical backdrop. One gets 500 kms of unbroken Himalayan views and 50 sq kms of lush forest . This bungalow was a home for Tiziano Terzani, a famous Italian writer.

The space
Located within the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary.
The property sustains itself completely on renewable sources of energy and water.
Solar Power is generated at the estate as grid supply is non existent.
Rain Water is harvested, filtered and stored for our regular usage.
Natural Springs on the property are an additional source for our drinking and other needs.
