Steven was an amazing host even before arrival, organizing a pick up from the station and providing all the information needed from the beginning.
At arrival, Mohamed was waiting for us.
He provided us with water and ice cream even during Ramadan (I try to respect that), and breakfast the next day was fabulous. My parents loved the experience, and they have also arranged a very nice guide, Ali.
What a wonderful place! After hours of walking in the heat of the medina, arriving back to this house was like a breath of fresh air. Although we didnt get to meet Steve, we were still treated wonderfully with everything from a pick up at the bus station, to a wonderful breakfast, to having a guide arranged to show us around. Two other little things that also made a difference were a great book and tea selection to choose from when enjoying the rooftop patio in the evening.
Stay in Steven's Riad has been wonderful, I went with two friends and the truth is that all of us are agree that certainly would repeat. Since we got home we were very well looked after, they explain us what we could visit without guide and recommended a guided tour plus to visit the old Medina and the Middle Atlas, the truth is that our both guides were wonderful.
At home we sleep well, the bed is comfortable, the area is quiet and everything is clean. Breakfast is very good, in the morning Mohamed served us breakfast, orange juice, fruits, typical bread, etc...
The Riad is ideally located near one of the main streets, with places to eat and buy food. Easy access to be within the medina. This is very important because some streets can scare you or you can lose easily.
Nice place, made by the great hosts.
The house is in a great spot in the old town which allows you to head out and see pretty much anything in the city easily. Steven was the best host you could ask for, arranging for us to be picked up at the station when we arrived (something I'd really suggest after being hassled out of money in Marrakech by unofficial guides and taxi drivers taking us to our hotel) he gave us a great list of places to visit and eat at, even showing us some of them to help us get out bearings. Also, everything everyone else has said about the breakfast definitely holds true! Delicious and plentiful!
Definitely stay here if you're visiting Rabat.
Probably the best airbnb experience I've had to date. Steve is an exceptional host and fully deserves the airbnb honour of being a superhost. This is an exceptionally well restored and looked after riad in the heart of the medina, the pictures don't do it justice. The room itself was very clean and well maintained and a lovely breakfast was served in the morning (Steve even woke up early to ensure we had something to eat on the day of our departure despite it being very early!). I would highly recommend getting picked up at the airport or bus station as it is a little tricky to find.
Fantastic experience. Steven made us feel very welcome, as tea and local information was provided on arrival (after a very easy taxi ride from the bus station which he also arranged for us). The house itself is exquisitely decorated and our room opened straight onto the terrace which was lovely.
Steven has a beautiful and comfortable home, and is particularly welcoming and helpful! The location is perfect: right between the two main roads of the medina only a short walk from the blue gate, yet tucked away enough to be a quiet and peaceful oasis set apart from the chaos of the market environment. Our gracious host quickly got us settled in, walked us through maps of the city, gave recommendations on things to see and places to eat, and helped arrange all of our transportation needs. I would highly recommend to anyone!
