Our stay at Steven's house could not have been better! His house manager Mohammed helped us to coordinate a car transfer from the train station, and was incredibly patient with us when our train was delayed over an hour. Our driver walked us into the medina where Mohammed was waiting, which made our arrival so pain free. When we arrived at the house, we were given tea and pastries, and Mohammed went over a map of the medina in great detail to point out the highlights. He also organized a guided tour of the medina for us, which we really appreciated. All of these details made us feel so incredibly welcome!
The room itself was perfect, exactly as described. We had a comfortable bed with incredibly clean (and monogrammed) sheets, a fan in the room (huge bonus), fresh towels, and an impeccable bathroom. The house was remarkable quiet in the evenings, letting us sleep like babies every night. We also had access to the rooftop terrace, which had cozy couches, seats, and a small awning to provide shade!
Our stay was made even more pleasant by the wonderful kitchen. Each morning there was an amazing breakfast (included in the price!) waiting for us, with tea, coffee, fresh juice, cereals, pastries, fruits, yogurts, the list could go on forever. Plates just kept arriving in front of us, and for two poor college students this was a dream come true. There was also always fresh water available for drinking in the kitchen throughout the day, and all the supplies needed for a midday cup of tea.
We got to meet Steven on the last night of our stay, and he is a truly kind and wonderful host! It was easy to see that he takes pride in his house, and he should. Thank you Steven, and Mohammed, for a wonderful time in Fes! If we find ourselves there in the future, we know where we'll be staying.
Steve's place was great! We decided to stay an extra night because it was so peaceful and comfortable. Located in the medina so it was easy to get anywhere. He helped with making a reservation with a guide plus dinner reservations and recommendations. Mohamed, the property manager when Steve isn't there, was also super nice and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.
Steve is a wonderful host, and made our stay in Fes extra special by providing a lovely clean and safe place to stay and giving us tips about places to eat and things to do. His riad is remodeled in a traditional manner - very clean and comfortable, and in a great location. His staff is warm and welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit and yogurt and yummy Moroccan pancakes. We enjoyed chatting with Steve while we were there, to get a bit of context for our visit to Fes. We definitely recommend Steve's place. Any of the rooms would be nice - we had the room on the top floor - it has a private bathroom and nice rooftop patio.
The riad was great! It was very beautiful and very clean and comfortable, and our host was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. And the riad is also in the heart of the medina, right off of both of the main streets, so the location is also fantastic. Steven was very helpful and organised a pickup for us from the train station and helped us with everything we needed, and responded very quickly.
Where to start....I did not have the pleasure of meeting Steven, but we had a great communication through emails...very helpful with all the arrangements! The house is just BEAUTIFUL! I do not think you are going to find a better place in Fes than Steven's house! Mohamed and the lady that worked there were very kind and really helpful with everything that we needed...breakfast is something delicious! every day we tried a different bread... and they really made us feel like at home! The tour guides that they recommended us were really good! and the pickup option from and to the airport is the best! I would love to have again the opportunity of staying there! highly recommended!
We had a very nice stay at the gorgeous medina of Steven in Fes. It is a beautiful riad, very clean and we had a very good breakfast. Steven gave us very good advice about restaurants and stuff.
